About this listen
When Jessica volunteered as tribute to a sorcerer's court, she knew that sex would be part of her job. However, she did not expect Lord Azrael to “feed” her to his pet incubus on her first day at work. She’s shocked that the incubus - a shape-shifting panther - can take the form of a man. She’s shocked that they have an audience. She’s even more shocked that she likes it. When the show is over, Jessica is sent off to new adventures, but she can’t stop thinking about him.
Mal, the incubus, can’t stop thinking about Jessica, either. Their liaison has revealed secrets about her - secrets that even Jessica doesn’t know. Mal will stop at nothing to escape from Azrael and kill him. He thinks he may be able to use Jessica to do it. However, he is rapidly developing feelings for her that he doesn’t understand. Even his relationship with Azrael is changing.
Can an incubus fall in love? And what will happen when he is forced to choose between love and revenge?

Story
As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt. When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

I run with my own pack - my four demon wolves and the two friends I would kill to protect. We might be the rejected shifters of the Vegas supernaturals, different and unwanted, but our pack is strong. Feared. Think of us as your local supernatural vigilantes. With my demon wolves secretly watching our backs, we’re unstoppable. Until the night the first rune appears on the streets. A rune that hasn’t been seen for hundreds of years, sending the Vegas supernaturals into a tailspin.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Story
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Would you consider the audio edition of Incubus Caged to be better than the print version?
The performance by Lauren Harris is wonderful and does a great job capturing all the feeling of the book. It is purely a matter of how you prefer to consume your fiction whether you prefer the audiobook or the print version.Have you listened to any of Lauren Harris’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have enjoyed all of Lauren Harris's narration, and this one definitely lives up to her high standards of performance. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. This is so engaging, it is hard to stop once you start.Any additional comments?
This is a very engaging, exciting, sexy, romantic book. It has a great story that draws you in and keeps you interested even between the varied sex scenes. Highly recommended.A wonderful romantic adventure

What did you love best about Incubus Caged?
I loved the story that surrounded and strengthened the erotic scenes. I felt that the two things had a way of perfectly balancing each other. What was one of the most memorable moments of Incubus Caged?
This is difficult to explain without spoilers so I'll just say the ending.Which character – as performed by Lauren Harris – was your favorite?
Azrael - he has many different aspects of his personality that get put on display and Lauren performed them all very well. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes.Any additional comments?
This book was my first ever erotic fiction/fantasy. I've read books with erotic moments in them but not like this. I decided to give the book a try because I love her other works and I certainly did not regret it. I loved the book feeling like there was a good balance of the steamy erotic scenes but had a strong backbone of an interesting story tying it all together. I must admit I was skeptical because "romance novels" come with quite the stigma but after hearing this one, I will definitely get the rest. And my mind is more open to try reading other erotic/romance type novels. It had a fantastic story, compelling characters, enjoyable sex scenes and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
First Ever Erotic Fiction

The narration was flawless. Lauren Harris did an excellent job with drawing me into the story and and had me forgetting that I was listening to someone. She did all the different voices for the characters very well. I always knew who was talking or thinking. And she did a superb job displaying emotions of the characters....and there were a lot of emotions. So, well done there! The combination of great story weaving and fantastic reading performance was awesome.
I truly enjoyed this book. I was so into it, that I was sad when I discovered it was almost over. Now, I am eager to hear the next book in the series.
Very impressed with this story.
