The truth is unfolding, almost as fast as her memories. Yet, Adara still has questions that only he can answer.
But being near Desmond fills her with confusion - and thoughts of violence. It's his fault she was tortured. He failed her in so many ways.
Is it any wonder she turns to others for comfort? Revels in the dark jealousy in his gaze?
However, now isn't the time for romance or petty games. Those who brought about her downfall are still at work. Determined to silence her before she discovers the truth.
They're right to fear, because she will hunt the bowels of Ha'el itself for vengeance, and when she discovers the truth...she will be set free.
Contains mature themes.

The plot appears to be about a woman growing super strong in a couple weeks while recovering from a coma caused by repeatedly being gang raped and pulled from the brink of death to be physically and sexually tortured to the point of death again and again AND AGAIN…and the “dreams”, PTSD reliving dreams are covered again and again and AGAIN.
However, the plot is almost rape porn for far too many scenes throughout and the author has no grasp on what recovery from that looks like. A person abused to the point they do not know who they are and commit recall the smallest thing about her life. A person who cannot tolerate touch, especially from men, is suddenly having a sexual reawakening weeks after coming out of a coma and remembering the SA via night terrors that last the night.
From personal experience, to my degrees and work with victims…this is a NO. I forced myself to listen to the end to leave the full review. I do not recommend this for anyone who has been assaulted, especially for those of us left for dead.
I hope she got backlash for this one.
Prepare to be triggered. If you like SA and the Wizard of Oz, this is your series.
