Would you consider the audio edition of Little Birds: Erotica to be better than the print version?

One of Anais Nin's greatest achievements. Was pleasantly surprised to see it available in audio form. It was executed beautifully by the narrator Sofia Willingham. I'd say that I probably enjoyed listening to this even more than reading the physical copy. Wonderful!

This is Anais Nin at her best. So weird. So cool. The narrator Sofia really compliments this classic work of alternative erotica.

Little Birds is a strange web of deviant, intense, and sometimes almost mundane sensual encounters. When read expertly by Sofia Willingham, Anaïs Nin's erotica feels like the narration to a lost Maya Deren film (Nin actually appeared in Deren's "Rituals in Transfigured Time" (1946) playing a part written especially for her). It's weirdly sexy and slightly uncomfortable in all the best ways.

Little birds is a classic, in many ways it still holds up. She is a brilliant author, I first read it in the 70s, at that time there was a “rumor” that her diary’s were fiction but her erotica is based on her real life. I think it’s a very interesting thought.
And in some ways the book doesn’t hold up, it’s kind of misogynistic. But the performance is excellent! And the fantasies are lush well drawn and interesting. It’s from a different time and I think going forward the possibility of brilliant new inclusive erotica is something we can all look forward to.

I thought because this was classic that it wouldn't be very graphic but it's sexy as hell. Lots of dirty stuff and wonderfully written. Maybe my favorite Anaïs Nin. AWESOME!
