This book may not be for everyone. At the beginning, I was concerned with the level of "dubious consent" because of the power imbalance and the inherent threats to her brother.

If you can deal with that though, and stay with the story, you will be rewarded.

An excellent story.

Great characters.

It was mostly good.

Just a couple of things I had issue with, but they were minor. The story was good and it had a good pace.

Narrators:
JF Harding-5stars
Laura Hopatcong -4 stars -deduction for inconsistency in supporting character voices. Also for too much squeaky/squealy voices. Her Vic accent was awkward, but her male voices were pretty good.

Spoilery Stuff:

Sex in a filthy rundown bathroom. Yuck! That's not sexy, it's gross
Climbing onto a gurney next to someone who's just been shot and loaded into an ambulance? Really? REALLY?? Thank goodness it was a quick scene, I might have obsessed over it otherwise.

I liked the twisty/drama part of the story. I didn't see it coming, and it wasn't boring or annoying. Trust me, that's a HUGE plus for me these days.

It seems this book is a trilogy, I'm not sure if it's necessary, but I'll definitely read it (it's not on audio :-( )

Are you ever going to put the rest of the trilogy in audio? When I went on the kindle site you had two more books in the series and the whole trilogy in a box set! Can you do them in audio too please??!!!! Especially the box set!!!! I'd like to finish the series!! I've been waiting for it for years!!! Since 2017!!

I did not hate this book, but I couldn’t love it. The plot is sexy but extremely predictable. A book has to be spectacularly bad for me to pull a DNF. That being said, this one nearly hit that point. There are some super cringe worthy moments between the main couple *spoiler* like when he uses a gun to get her off. However, if you are okay with the asshole “billionaire bad boy who finds a perfect little virgin dream girl who intends to treat like a high priced sex toy and winds up falling in love with her” trope, this one will check all your boxes. All that said, it’s still better than 50 Shades of Grey.

This is a interesting listen. A bit over the top but I wouldn't give its low rating. If you have an extra credit go ahead and get it. There are some hot parts and some sad parts.

I loved the book and the narrators. I could not stop listening and listened the entire length of the book all the way through. I cannot wait to move on to Book #2 but, I am highly disappointed that the next 2 in the series are not available on Audible. I guess I will have to get used to reading again :(

Too silly to finish. I was expecting a rich alpha male with an exciting love life due to his black book. Nope! He referred to the females as cartoon characters until he finds “her”. He finds his virgin “Jessica Rabbit” and is in love willing to do anything for her and her orphaned brother after 1 day of meeting her.
