This is not my favorite of NK. lacked a bit in external character development, and seemed the storyline was packed in too quickly. Just odd timing/cadence. Love NK's work, just not as excited about this one. Good narrating.

I absolutely love this author. I’ve basically read everything she’s written this book was a little lighter then her usual but great story

I thought the story line was all over the place. I think Natasha Knight has better books but this book is still worth reading.

It’s s slow burn book. I usually don’t mind a naïve female heroine but this one was way too stupid for my liking. I wanted to stop listening because she just made stupid decisions after stupid decision. She’s hot and cold too often. Other that thank the plot and performance was really good.

the narration and story wad superb! the male and female lead were FRUSTRATING but thats part of what made the story so great!

I get the predicament she was in, but darn, she acted like a ignorant rash 13 year old. I kept finding myself admonishing her out loud for how she was acting 🤦🏼‍♀️ I really wanted to smack her and take Stephan for myself 😄 Narration was excellent though.

There’s a lot to like here, so I’ll hit just a couple high points:

- Where some longer series are so full of never-ending, unnecessary inner dialogue it takes 4 books (and 4 credits) to tell a 2 book story, Knight writes a perfectly balanced story without the excess.

- The characters and settings are well crafted and easy to connect with.

- It’s refreshing to have the story and suspense take centered stage as opposed to the off the chain volume of gratuitous sex in many other series. Yes - there are steamy scenes, but the story could stand on its own without them.

- Wen Ross… he’s simply fantastic. Cartwright is easy on the ears, too.

loved this series (2 books) the dual narration is what I have been getting to listen as much as possible. I even would take a0 longer route home so I could listen to more!!
