this short could have been better; if it had another narrator. MS. Lucy gave the story no depth and simple dragged through the story. She made quite a few mistakes; you could hear every breath and swallow as her mouth got dry in between readings. just a dread to listen to her voice.

The concept for Lust Immortal was amazing but it really needed to be longer to have truly done it justice. I have really enjoyed stories by Carrie Kelly before (both through Kindle and here on Audible) and I thoroughly enjoyed the Lust Immortal even though it was short and lacking the proper development it deserved. However, the narrator did a TERRIBLE job! She couldn’t even pronounce some of the French based words such as cravat or chemise (pronouncing then crah-vat and sheh-me’s) and it really took away from a story that was already lacking the follow through that it needed and, truthfully, deserved. I will do my best to avoid any more books narrated by Lucy Chamberlain from now on.

Wonderful premise that, sadly, lacked follow through.

I would like to specifically note that I hated this narration. the story intrigued me enough that I suffered through but the narrator was terrible. between swallowing and breathing and background noise and talking too fast and rereading entire lines, I had a hard time even getting into the story, let alone staying immersed.
also, the story, while interesting enough for me to finish it is not one I would have chosen had I known the ending, nor one that I would read again. the premise was interesting but the entire setup and characterization were underdeveloped. and I know that this is a short story and what can I expect but I have read enough shorts to know that even one this short can be realized better than this one was.
