About this listen

Fall in love with this sweet, sexy sugarkink romance - a USA Today best seller with over 100 five-star reviews!

A man she's loved for years. A marriage of necessity. An impossible situation.

Lola Theroux wanted Roman Casta the moment she saw him. She knows she isn't special in that regard - every woman wants Roman Casta the moment she sees him. But Lola is the only one who knows why Roman doesn't do relationships, and she knows that he'll never see her as anything other than his best friend's little cousin - he'll always be her protector, never her lover.

Even after five years of working together running New York's exclusive Club Volare, she's never caught his eye and never had a chance to show him her submissive side. Until a campaigning politician targets Club Volare, and the only way to save the club is to get married - to Roman. Now they'll have to fool the public, the press, and their friends into thinking they're in love and in lust. For Lola, that isn't the hard part. The hard part is pretending to be Roman's sub without falling for a man she knows she can't have. Until one night changes everything....

love the story but can't listen to this narrator

can finish the audiobook. The narrator is not good. rather than using nuance to differentiate the characters she just uses obnoxious overdone stereotypes. the friend who is a powerful new York lawyer sounds like a reject from the Jersey shore cast. the best girlfriend, supposedly a mature and intelligent woman, sounds like a 16 year old valley girl. skipping this one

Horrible narration

Where does Marrying the Master rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Love the Volare series and the dynamic between Roman and Lola.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The narration of Stella's voice and others is beyond horrible. The fake valley girl-ish depiction of character voices is a complete violation of those characters.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rachel Butera?

Almost anyone would be better!!!

Yummy in my tummy

this book was a welcome distraction while I processed accounts at work. It was wicked and heat and just perfect.

ruined by the narrator!

Why is it that the Stella character from the, Sold to the Sheik, book one in this series, sounds like an outdated valley girl from 80's? The male friends of Roman's don't fare much better. Quite a disappointment.
