About this listen

Fourteen years ago I was wrongfully sentenced to life in Lakeview Asylum for the criminally insane. I'm not insane, but I am a criminal. I have many regrets in life, but the murder that landed me here isn't one of them.

After two long years of planning and one horrific storm, I'm finally free. I never wanted to take another life after I escaped Lakeview, but I'd kill a thousand times over for her.

Alex never expected to see me again, let alone watch history repeat itself. The world ripped us apart once, but I refuse to lose her again. Our story is complicated and tainted with blood, one things for sure though; Alex Sattorie belongs to me.

I can’t stand the virtual voice. The story was good not the narrator. If I could do it over I would have just read the book

Ugh virtual voice

This story is a nice change of pace from some of the other stalker tales. Yes, it's the old 'crazy person breaks out and goes after someone' storyline, but it's well done and intriguing. Even the AI voice doesn't take away from it. It may be shocking to some, but it's certainly plausible. Both of these people suffered severe trauma, trauma that neither may ever recover from, and it shows.
I love this take on the effects of the whole thing; most people wouldn't dare to write something like this. I find it quite bold. In spite of it's brevity, you really feel like everything's played out perfectly so you feel satisfied in the end.

The intertwining of two traumatized souls...
