Vivian Nox is the half-demon daughter of the fallen angel, Lucifer, and she has an affinity for souls. As the owner of a pleasure house, Nox uses her power to give her clients what they want most, but when Caedus and Balthazar stride through her door, she recognizes them as her soul's desire.
Caedus and Balthazar are both members of the Dark Guard, a group of demons tasked with protecting their kind from the sorcerers that would bind them and use their powers in the human realm. But membership in the Dark Guard isn't the only thing Caedus and Balthazar share: they also share the love of the same female.
Iliana is everything a male could want, but everything changes when she takes her own life. Devastated, Caedus turns cold, denying anything resembling the softer side of emotion, while Balthazar struggles to hold the two of them together.
Still haunted by Iliana's death, Caedus isn't ready to repeat history, but when one of Nox's pleasure slaves goes missing, he finds himself unable to turn away her request for help.
Their search reveals a killer loose in Hell, but that isn't what worries Caedus. As he and Balthazar spend more time with Nox, Caedus begins to suspect that she won't be happy with anything less than his soul.
Warning: This audiobook contains vivid descriptions of sex and is intended for mature audiences.

A+ for highly charged erotic content but not quite so good in execution of the two storylines. “Queen of Souls” follows Vivian Nox, the half-demon daughter of Lucifer and the demons, Caedus and Balthazar. After the suicide of their lover, Iliana, Caedus withdraws into himself as the pain and guilt he feels at failing to protect her eats away at his soul. In a bid to discover a way to reach his partner and lover, Balthazar comes to Vivian in the hopes that she will be able to grant him his soul’s desire as she has for others. Nox can read souls and has used her power to build the most exclusive pleasure house in Hell. When Balthazar brings Caedus with him to his meeting, Nox recognizes that they are her soul’s desire, but that the damage Iliana’s death did to Caedus may be too great for her to have them both.
Interspersed with the story of Caedus and his journey through grief is a murder “mystery”. One of Nox’s pleasure servants was killed and she turns to Caedus and Balthazar for help. The story jumps between following the serial killer as he evolves and the relationship between Nox, Caedus and Balthazar. The writing and the story is very good and all the characters, even those who only pop in for a few scenes are so well done, the reader gets a real sense of who they are. May only real problem with the story was that it almost felt like it should be two separate books. The storyline with the serial killer and Caedus’s journey were interesting but tonally so different that cutting back and forth between them was a bit jarring and dissatisfying, especially since the cuts were accomplished mainly via sex scenes. Had the editing been a little tighter, the flow of the two stories may not have felt so off, but after a while even with the enjoyable variety of sex and partner pairings, I just wanted them to get to the point. However, the narrator was amazing and the characters and writing were good so even when I was frustrated by the pacing/editing, I still found the book entertaining.
The setting of the story being in Hell was another reason I wanted to read the book, and I was interested to see what the author would do with it. Frankly, Hell is pretty much Earth. Beyond being populated by demons and fallen angels and having a more free take on sex, there wasn’t much difference beyond a few unfamiliar words and the obvious details that come when your characters have wings, tails and horns. Seafood dinners are still excellent and women avoid chocolate because it “makes you fat”. However, there was enough detail and interesting world building traits that you just shrug it off and take the book for what it is—an enjoyable erotic story with horns and wings to increase the kink factor and call it a day.

That said, this is definitely a scintillating, erotic (audio)book. There are a variety of different types of demons, with an interesting variety of physical - ahem - attributes, which makes for a dizzying variety of sexual encounters and positions.
The narrator for the story is perfect. Sierra Kline does erotica like no other! I have listened to many audiobooks she has narrated, and she always manages to capture the mood just right. Her delivery is smooth and well-paced, and she does a good job of providing diverse voices for the different characters.
As long as you have an open mind for sex and erotica, including MF, MM, MFM, MMF, and MMF? you should like this audiobook. Definitely 18+ only.

OK so honestly if weren't for the serial killer perpetrator perspectives this would be on my favourites shelf, it's so unique with its relationship dynamics, the love, the whole underworld, different demon breeds and the hot and very VERY creative sex. Those two male demons are pure masculinity and hot as sin and the fact they're also in love with each other just adds to the excitement.
But yeah the scenes with Mr creepy were upsetting to me and I did need to take a break after them, but that could be a personal thing because I'm sensitive to those things.

Sierra Kline did a great job with the narration. She is very good at differentiating between the male and female voices. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I enjoyed the different aspects of the story. It was a very sexy murder mystery in the demon underworld. There is love in the story, it's just demon love and unconventional. Wild and fun. (and however you can imagine it!)

I decided to give this one a try because the story line intrigued me. The first half of the book is definitely more erotic content than story, but the last half makes up for it by getting far more into the story. All in all, it was well narrated and enjoyable.
erotic but a decent story
