About this listen

Hayden Sinclair has it all: a job she loves, supportive friends and a drop-dead gorgeous boyfriend. She should be happy - and she should say yes when Luc proposes marriage. But one thing stands in her way: Sawyer Underwood, her impossibly sexy ex, who disappeared almost a year ago.

When Sawyer returns, he has one goal in mind: to win Hayden back, and away from his long-hated rival, Luc. Sawyer’s willing to do anything it takes, and he’ll use all his powers of persuasion to convince Hayden that he’s the man for her - especially in the bedroom. But Luc’s not willing to give Hayden up without a fight!

As the two men battle for Hayden’s affections, she is torn between them. If only they could reach a compromise—then maybe she wouldn’t have to choose....

I liked the book. It didn't have a huge plot but the end had a twist i didn't see coming.

Wow.. 3/4 of this story had drama, suspense and heart break. Then......graphic details of sexual situations popped up.. I REALLY enjoy trying to figure out who & why she (lead female) will settle with. People make mistakes.. BUT when you keep making mistakes over and over again then... You have a problem/ addiction... I would have given this story 5 stars but, the sex romb seemed too much..True love is more than physical. Body sags and parts wear out then you are left with??? But, I still APPRECIATE the characters in this story. Inclusive and varied.

Wonderful drama & suspense of BWwmwm conflict.

I'm not sure how I feel about the story. I hated the narration so much it was hard to get behind it.

Hate the narration

This is not my first time reading or listening to stories by Eve Vaughn. However, I realize that that in storytelling, finding a safe way, it's not always the best way. The narration of the story took away a lot from the experience of listening to the tale.

I enjoy Eve's story-telling

I really really tried to like this book... it took me several days to complete this... The Narrator made it that much worst... she couldnt do a male voice but try to hard to do a "sista Girl" voice... the story fell flat for me... no real excitement... and the sex scene were far and few in between.... also a Woman of color with diabetes🙄 how original...So disappointed with this novel... Also I really wanted Sawyer to walk away from it all because it was clear she love Luke more... but yea wont waste a credit on this one..

I tried

Story was OK, veering on the dramatic. Narration was over the top melodramatic, over emphasis which weakened the story. Male voice rendition was terrible. And do I have to hear the narrator’s tongue sloshing saliva about her mouth? Still, only a consummate narrator could have elevated this story. Some books are better read than spoken.

Narration ruined an OK book

This was okay, but Eve Vaughn has written better stories than this and I'm sorry that this is the only novel that she has written on her own that is on audio. I liked the main characters and how the two heroes butt heads throughout the book so much that I was curious as to how this relationship would end in a menage. The story wrapped up to where I wasn't convinced that these rivals would just concede into such an arrangement. I also found the heroine's girlfriends to be obnoxious and unnecessary. My other problem is the narrator. She did fine with distinguishing her voices and acting the parts instead of reading a book. However, I can easily tell that she had a tongue barbell in her piercing that was clicking her teeth as she talked. I'm sure that it was a turn-off to other listeners. The story was intriguing enough for me to wait and see what happens in the end, but it's not a book that I would recommend to others.

A good story with a less than satisfying ending.
