About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author Sky Corgan comes a new sinfully wicked dark romance.

Seven sins. Seven days.

Chandler Lexington

I need a muse for my next exhibit. She has to be young. She has to be a virgin. And she has to be willing to do everything I tell her to. No questions asked.

Emma Jones

Never in a million years did I imagine that I’d be selected for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Now I’m being whisked away to a private island to spend a week alone with world-renowned painter Chandler Lexington. He’s gorgeous and mysterious and eccentric. I thought he was just going to paint me, but every seductive glance has a secret hidden intention behind it, and I’m beginning to think that this is about more than creating art.

Heat level: smokin' hot.

Loved it

I received this book in exchange for a unbiased review. I loved this one. It was a little unrealistic but, sometimes you need that i. a book. I was happy with the ending. I like Sky Corgan's writing anyway.

A Weeaboo Love Story

Any additional comments?

I felt like the Seven scenes were well thought out and that the narrator was the right choice for the main character.

I felt that Envy was the most memorable scene in Se7en.

My favorite scenes were Greed and the ending.

I thought the night scenes were uncomfortable and rapey. Envy was also uncomfortable. Chandler is quite the creep.

I felt that the narration of Chandler could have been better. He seems very stiff, no pun intended.

I felt that it was slightly difficult to differentiate between actual spoken dialogue and internalized dialogue at times.

The maid left me with some lingering questions.

I feel like this title should be enjoyed one scene at a time instead of read all in one sitting. By splitting things up it helped me appreciate all the emotions that went into each scene.

Another reviewer mentioned that they felt the love aspect between the characters felt unrealistic, but to me it didn't seem far-fetched. Things may have progressed very quickly in a week, but the intensity and nature of their experiences would be very bonding.

The premise of the story is kind of unsettling. I think it's that, that makes the story so gripping as Emma progresses through the scenes. There is a looming uncertainty to everything and that is made worse through mind games. Even so, the way Emma reacts to certain things reminds you that she really is quite young and immature. It should be noted that there are certain aspects of this book that some people will not feel comfortable with at all.

I feel that this book was a good read and well worth the time. I would recommend this title to close friends interested in the genre.

An interesting premiss

I found the idea behind the story really interesting, the contract wouldn't be legal, but it is an interesting idea.

The story alternates between hot and disturbing, the sex us hot, how Chandler treated Emma outside of sex was cold, and I couldn't help thinking that Emma is suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

I think that this is a story where you have to suspend judgement and just listen to as an erotic story, if you do that then it's quite enjoyable.

I have man unanswered questions, what was she given to 'help her sleep' and were they dreams or reality?

The character voices were well done and the pace and tone of the narration worked well with the shifting dynamics of the various scenes.

Spicy and Unusual

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A very unusual take on a highly sexually charged story. I think that this genre is now looking for different spins from the shades of gray series. The female character is a little hard to believe. She seems pretty versed in the art of lovemaking and yet she is still a virgin. Mmmmm... that is a little hard to swallow. The artist's figure is just as unreal, but then of late all of these hunks seem destined to live a life of seclusion. That calls for another Mmmmm...
However, the characters are pleasant enough and the storyline at least original. I know you'll want to read it, so just go for it...
The narration was great. A good Summer read all in all.

Great read

Se7en by Sky Corgan was a great read. Chandler is looking for his next muse but there are stipulations. Emma is whisked to a private island to be Chandler's muse for a week. I enjoyed reading Emma and Chandler's story.

Explores the 7 Biblical in an Unbiblical(?) Way

Se7en

Chandler Lexington is an artist who has advertised for a virgin muse. Emma Jones fits the bill and her head is spinning from the moment she meets the talented artist. She is there for a week and things between them heat up and get ice cold. Is there more than a relationship between artist and muse? Or is the eccentric artist as cool as he portrays?

Kassiopia DeVora sounds very young, which is a perfect fit for the character of Emma Jones. DeVora is able to pull off a husky, deeper performance for the character of Chandler Lexington. A 4 star performance

Overall, this is a novel with very descriptive scenes of "mature content." Listener beware if that is not your thing. I've had the opportunity to listen to several of Skye Corgan's books and I find that I love some (Torn: A Dark Bad Boy Romance) and others that are a bit too much for me, like this one.

*I received this complimentary copy in exchange for my unbiased review. As noted, the content was stronger than I care for, however I was invested in the story and wanted to know how the end would turn out.

Expect the Unexpected

There were bits of the book that I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep listening and thought Chandler to be a complete jerk. Overall I think it was a really good book that took an unexpected turn. I recommend this book.

Hard to get through.

I had a hard time getting into the book. Was it the narrator? Was it the story itself? Yes, all of the above. I made it through but was left as unimpressed at the end as I was at the beginning.
