I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

A little disappointed. The story lacked credibility due to little or no personal interactions and even less background. It skipped their working relationship altogether and began with Evie’s last day as an employee at Greyson’s firm. They could see each other without professional impropriety, but without any previous teases and flirtation, their plan to pretend to be a couple was too sudden. I’m not sure why sex was even part of the plan or why they felt it would help their weekend performance, either. There was little time spent together to develop a relationship and even less time for Evie to impress her ex, so IMO, the outcome didn’t seem very plausible. Not much of anything was told about their families, other than Evie talking to her mom on the phone. I learned more about Greyson's mom from book one!

Gideon Welles made the mediocre story listen-worthy. His narration was excellent with very few editorial problems. Thank you for that.

I'll give it One Thumb, but I won't wave it.

This was such an awesome story. I totally fell in love with the characters and didn't the story to end. I just wanted to listen to it forever. Why can't books be longer!! :)

Grayson's struggle to figure his feelings out and his very dom tendencies.

What about Gideon H. Welles’s performance did you like?

He seems to be able to do both the female and male roles well.

I ended this book with a bit of a smile on my face and not a single dried up tear on my cheeks, so it must have been a good book with out any heartbreak along the way. That said, it wasn’t fabulous but it was not bad at all either.

The narrator did a good job. The female voices weren’t feminine but he did it in such a way that it worked.

The sex was hot, kink, but hot.

Worth it? I’m just glad it was part of my romance package.

Evie is not looking forward to going home and watching her best friend marry the ex she has never really gotten over and to make matters worse she is the maid of honor. Greyson is a successful architect and he has had his eyes on Evie, the beautiful interior designer, however their business contract is able to conclude so now is the time the make his move.

When he finds out about Evie’s dilemma he offers to spend the weekend with her as her date so that everyone in town will not feel sorry for her but will they be able to convince everyone and what happens when the weekend ends?

I loved these two characters as Evie is so selfless when it comes to those she loves and Greyson is so protective about Evie and the chemistry, humor and emotional make this an enjoyable story. The narrator did an excellent job and he not only brought the story to life but made you feel like you were part of the story.

I was very apprehensive to listen to this book since I didn't really like the first book that much, but I'm glad I gave this one a listen because I loved it.

So I can admit I did not like the narrator's voice in Heartbreaker. While the voice was still too deep and gravely for my liking, I think it was perfect for Grayson's voice. I really loved Grayson and Evie. They were perfect each other. They both were afraid of anything serious, but it took them realizing how much they felt for each other to realize it. This was a really sweet and sexy read that I really enjoyed.

This is definitely steamy! Light on story but heavy on steam, if you're looking for something to warm you up on a cold night this book will do the trick! The narrator has a sexy deep voice that lends itself well to the character. Enjoyable.

I wanted to like this story but the audio ruined it. It’s not the narrator. He did good on reading the story but the sound was not clear. I couldn’t finish. I will read on kindle instead.
