Publisher's summary

There was an era in time when Jeanine Lavender believed in love, passion, and sex. As a 40-something widow, she’s long buried those beliefs with her late husband. While on a weekend getaway with her sister and friends, she locks eyes with a young, handsome musician across a crowded bar. An innocent conversation and a little harmless flirting soon spiral into a passion-filled one-night stand. But what happens when she wakes up the next morning wanting more? Undoubtedly, the drinks the night before allowed her body to thaw at the sensual touch of a man young enough to be her son. Or could there be a deeper connection?

Axel McAdams has everything a woman wants in a man: talent, height, and a face that God himself had kissed. Not to mention his hypnotic emerald-green eyes and panty-drenching smile. How could a woman not be attracted? The young saxophonist ignites a passion in Jeanine she thought she had buried years ago. And he’s determined to show her that he’s just what she needs.

Their relationship was meant to be no strings attached. Yet Jeanine finds herself throwing caution to the wind and falling too fast without regard to the consequences. When a revelation hits too close to home, Jeanine realizes their lives are more intertwined than she thinks. Find out what happens when you mix a one-night stand, a wedding, and a secret so big it could upend life as everyone knows it.

Messy borrowing

The second book explains the ending of the first book. The mom and Axel neither have any self control but, ending is the real shocker. I really liked this book.

Wtf

The first book was amazing. This one kinda pissed me off. It picked up where the first one ended. Really pissed off at the mom and Axel (as if I know them). Now what. The ending was no ending wtf.

Too short

The criticism is for splitting up these books like this; this should have been one book. It ends in awkward cliffhanger. Go for quality not quantity or more money. Would have been a good book if it wasn’t so disjointed. Each book is too short, should made all of them into one story. Narrators are good.

Yo!

I am not liking how this is going. Are all of them trifling? This should’ve just been one book. I’m not sure I want to hear the rest of this soap opera. IDK, I may feel differently once the third book is available in audio.

The Ultimate Comeback

My mouth is on the flo!!!!! Book 1 ended with my mouth wide open BUT babyyyyyyyyeeeee I didn’t see the ending coming for book 2. They momma disgusts me, because once you realized what was what you should have stepped back and left it at that, but she was weak and selfish. Now I originally thought Isa would have at least slapped her momma or Axel but sis came back with the ultimate betrayal and I ain’t even feel bad cause Axel and her momma was dead wrong for moving how they did. I digress!!!! If y’all looking for drama, messy, sex, and a good read start this series. On to book 3, dying to see how this ends.
