About this listen

Elias Omari exists in the darkness that clouds his mind. Cress Devereaux exists in the light that inspires her soul. Together, they create beautiful shades of gray.

An arranged marriage forces two families to smooth the edges of their jagged past with the hopes of a new beginning. But can a union tainted with secrets and uncertainty promise an unbreakable alliance?

The one thing that Elias and Cress share in common is family over everything, but should they continue to fight for family when that same family has never truly fought for them?

This book, this author is Great. This is my second time reading. I read on Kindle 1st, I loved the way mental health was addressed. I loved how Cress stood by him and loved him. These men were/are great. The storyline was on point. It drew me in from the beginning the slow start with background of them. Please read & can't wait to see book two..

I am in love with KC Mills books. Ready for another one. And the narration just brings it to life. The tone and timbre of the voices make it feel real.

Omg

Entertaining but yet informative how some people will use your weaknesses against you and or choose to love you through your weaknesses.
I love the male narrator, however I hate his voice when he speaks as a female. Never matches the actual female character. Always sounds like a woman using a baby voice makes me grind my teeth whenever he’s using that voice. Lol Overall I really enjoyed the story.

Accurate highlight bipolar disorder

The narrators seem very new at this, the male narrator doing a female voice 😞 but just continue to listen the book is that good. So many topics that are so necessary to understand In our society. I recommend this book to all adults

The story line is outstanding

This is definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. The narrators were great, as well.

Great Story!!!

I have listened to quite a few audio books from KC Mills, and this one was my absolute favorite. it was raw, realistic, seductive, and kept you on the edge of your seat throughout. it left me wanting more and to know the outcomes of the characters. BRAVO!!

The Absolute BEST!!

Mental health is always a touchy subject especially in the black community, This author did a great job with this topic.

Good but emotional

The characters were mature. The only thing is that I wish I could’ve seen more death in the female lead. Her character was very shallow. But overall a hit book.

This a true adult read with no angst. I love it!!
