Bromberg books are an auto download for me because she has consistently written stories that have gripped me and filled them with characters that have wowed me.. and Sweet Cheeks didn't disappoint. Saylor owns a cup cake business and she's working flat out to keep things going - so when she gets a wedding invite from her ex Saylor, in a moment of weakness, decides to RSVP it saying she'd be going.. and bringing someone as her date too. Saylor never really intended to post it back but her very helpful Assistant saw the envelope and mailed it. This causes Saylor to have a meltdown but her supportive Brother took this opportunity to secretly call in a favor from an old friend - and when he turned up out of the blue he was the last person Saylor wanted, or expected, to see. It was Hayes the mega star Actor, her childhood friend, her teenage boyfriend and the love of her life who'd suddenly walked away 10 years previously for the chance of making it big in Hollywood.. and he did.

Hayes is handsome, sexy, successful and wants to help his old friend but it's all hush hush from Saylor and when he confronts her he's blown away by her beauty, her sass and her eagerness to succeed despite all the odds against her. Their first few meeting don't go to plan - but things start to change and then he's taking a trip down memory lane with the only woman that's ever meant anything to him. However, Saylor isn't quite ready to forgive and forget the heartbreak that Hayes caused her - but the more time she spends with the A list droolworthy actor, the more he awakens their dormant feeling and the harder they fall.

With K. Bromberg you're guaranteed a sexy Alpha Hero and a feisty Heroine, plenty of fun times between the sheets (or wherever!) and a story that'll captivate you and, when the narration has been done by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, you just KNOW it's going to be mega good, it's going to be entertaining and going to be sighworthy too. Standalone, dual POVs and a sweet HEA after some angst.

Worth a credit? YES - it's a K. Bromberg book and it's read by two of my favorite narrators.. so there was never any doubt.

From the storyline, which is filled with ups and downs, and laughter and tears, to the narration, which is absolutely perfect, this book is a gem. Arndt and York are by far two of my favorite narrators and they didn't fail to come through again! The writing is pure genius with realism that melts your heart.

I've listened to several books narrated by Sabastian York and loved every one so when I saw this one I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did!

I loved the story, Saylor and Hayes... just amazing!

I wasn’t sure about this book/listen I didn’t care much about the title I thought it was too cheeky, ugh. But truth be told Sebastian York I love his voice🔥 because of him I gave this book a chance, sadly SYork only spoke for 1/3 of the book.😢 The storyline was cute but it could’ve been said in a shorter amount of time, it did have all the good components for a good read. Is it worth the credit? Yes, only because I like the timber of SYork’s smexy voice…Enjoy “Ships Ahoy”😍
