This was a good little story, just not anything spectacular. It was interesting and had plenty of steam. I kind of wish it had been more fleshed out, that would have really sold things for me.

Good lordy the steam!! It is definitely a spicy read!

I enjoyed the narration by Faye Adele. Her British accent was pleasing to the ears and helped move the story along. The pace was terrific, just right for this historical read. I am interested in checking out other reads by this narrator, she gave me happy ears!

Yeah - probably. I thought that book was okay for a short romance. The story was actually pretty good for such a short book. The narration was acceptable. I don't know if I would want to listen to a long book narrated by Faye Adele, but this short book wasn't bad.

Alice Gaines, the author is a prolific writer. This novella, however, is the only one of her works I am able to find as an Audible recording. Sad, as this work is very likable.

This was one of the worst books that I have ever listen to... It was as though it lived to throw in foul or unnecessary language. Don't waste you time or money.
