The long-awaited sixth installment of Laura Antoniou's Marketplace series!
When last we saw Chris Parker, he had been bought by master trainer Tetsuo Sakai and was blissfully ensconced in Japan under Tetsuo's wonderfully sadistic boot. And here we join Robin Cassidy, now contentedly serving a slave contract for a rich Chicago businessman. But the Marketplace is shaken when a new Trainer of Trainers must be anointed, and the resulting machinations and clashing loyalties threaten to tear their world apart. Everyone has a stake in the outcome, and Chris Parker is about to find out who is with him and who is against him. Richly told, interconnecting threads of Parker's previously unseen past with his complicated present, The Inheritor also weaves in the narratives of many favorite Marketplace characters, including Robin, Ken Mandarin, and Ron Avidon and features appearances by many more, including Jiro, Rachel, Michael, and Grendel.

The book is an amazing addition to the series, the narrator should never work again

Ms. Jasicki took on a great challenge; she played multiple parts with multiple genders, with consistency. It was believable, memorable, and enjoyable. Read more Elizabeth, please.
Sometimes the performance...

Just a quick note to thank Elizabeth Jasicki for being an amazing reader. Another reader of the series commented in a review of Book One that the British accents seemed out of place for a book set in NYC and, initially, I agreed, but was a convert very quickly. Her voice interpretations seem so spot on now that I couldn't imagine Chris, Robin, Rachel, Tetso and ESPECIALLY Ken, sounding like anyone else.
I find it sad it took a Kick starter campaign to get this book published and even sadder I was not aware of it until the campaign was over. But I'm on every list out there now, hoping to help the next installment come to life. Antoniou + Jasicki =perfection!
It's not just hot sex... but the sex is hot!

What made the experience of listening to The Inheritor the most enjoyable?
The reader was great! Her timing worked in so many ways throughout the story. What other book might you compare The Inheritor to and why?
This is the 6th, and best so far of the Marketplace series! As this is not my normal fare, I don't have anything to compare it to, as this series seems to stand alone! I got snagged by it a couple of years ago at someone else's recommendation - and have enjoyed the foray into the fantasy of the World of the Marketplace as well as following the well developed characters and interwoven intrigues of people of power. What does Elizabeth Jasicki bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She made the characters, and by extension, the world, seem more real.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I Laughed, I moaned, I flew, I crashed, I felt, I sympathized, I sighed (long, deep sighs), I was awed, I related, I detached, I loved, I hated, I screamed (this at the ending!). The full gamut of emotions are represented and drawn out for the 'emotional masochist' to revel in!!Any additional comments?
The best in the series - and the one that absolutely has me panting for the next book!!There is going to be a next book...right????
Patience for this book did not disappoint.

What made the experience of listening to The Inheritor the most enjoyable?
I love the six books of Laura Antoniou/s Marketplace Series. I started with the first one, and have listened to all six in the last three weeks. I was anxious to listen to this last one, The Inheritor and was enthralled with the new characters of The Donnelly Clan and their "staff" Sasha, the gay butler, and Robin's confident. After all six books by the same narrator, I am excited by her different voices for each character, and although, the only thing I'm disappointed with is that they all have English/British accents - even though some of the characters are distinctly from New York, USA.What was one of the most memorable moments of The Inheritor?
I loved the episodes of the Playhouse - and the lavish descriptions of the scenes and wished, that this was a real place. What does Elizabeth Jasicki bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have difficulty reading with bad eyesight, and so I enjoyed the Audible experience of hearing different voices for each person in the story, instead of just having it in my head.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
We all believe.Any additional comments?
I certainly hope this series continues. I just got excited about meeting these new characters and the story lines that introduces you to new character and Robin's additional training, at Kaliegh, and her improvements. I'd love to see what happens to the Trainer of Trainers and their new line of trainers, clients and spotters. Is it this really the end?
