Good for true beginners and that may be it.

I think the best way to break this book down is to start by agreeing that we have three different layers of fantasies. The first is the very basic stuff that most people would try at least once. The second is the exact opposite and the truly weird stuff that's not for most people. The third is somewhere in the middle and some adventurous people might try them if they're in the right mood.

The basic stuff most people would try: This is what I was really hoping this book would expand on. There's plenty of it, but it's all the stuff you'd think of on your own. I was really looking for creative stuff that fits into this group.

Intermediate stuff some people might try when they're in an adventurous mood: I wouldn't have minded some expansion on this category, too. There's some stuff in it, but the problem is you both have to be in one of those mods to really try this stuff.

Advanced stuff that's not for most people: This stuff is spread out throughout the book and really would've been better off being stuffed into one chapter only. So few people would ever try this stuff and those that would most likely already know about it. It also seems like a lot of it was inspired by an old show that used to be on HBO. A lot of this was familiar to me from that series.

It does give good instructions on how to find your own such as reading erotica. I'm not even remotely close to being into BDSM and yet I was listening to a book on it and the goddess archetype sparked some great ideas in my head that I think we might love. I think more inspiration was what I was expecting / hoping for and didn't really find any. Take a typical fantasy like the schoolgirl fantasy. It gets mentioned a lot in here, but specifics aren't. I would've liked several examples of each fantasy and how to do them and not just several examples of different fantasies. Break them down for us a bit more so those specific details can inspire us to come up with our own.

This book will work for people new to attempting to do fantasy roleplay, but I think there's room for an absolutely fantastic book on the subject That book covers as many different fantasies as possible that people might actually do and as many different variations of them as possible. The type of thing that even if you aren't into one category of fantasy, has enough different variations in it that you may be able to find inspiration in what you're reading / listening to in order to come up with your own version that you do like and would try. This just isn't that book.
