I want more of Mercer and his lover! I was not ready for this short story, seriously I was thinking I knew how this would end. Until bam! We get a tiny plot twist towards the end. Michael did such a great job of narrating this short story. His different tones of voice were great, I completely forgot this was being narrated by one person only. Seriously I would listen to anything narrated by Michael!

I love a good short story and this one really was. I love Gabbi Grey’s writing and this story didn’t change that. Michael Dean’s performance made the story even better.

I'm a bit disappointed in this really short story. Michael Dean did a fantastic job with the narration, as always, but the book was way too short. I'm not sure how to feel after listening to this. There's nothing in the book blurb that indicates that this is a prequel, to an upcoming book. If this was a prequel then maybe I wouldn't judge this story so harshly, knowing there was more to come. Normally I enjoy books written by Gabbi Grey.

I feel like this should be rated as a dubcon book because that's what it seemed like to me. This book left me uncomfortable due to one of the character's deceitfulness. Maybe this is just a me thing. I read other reviews and I felt like I listened to a different book than they did. Oh well, this happens occasionally.

After running into his crush after ten years in a fifties diner, which was super awkward, When his crush asks to return to Mercer’s home, things just seem to get more awkward from there.

Things are only told from Mercer’s perspective, until the very end.

It’s also a short, so you’re left wanting more.

As always, Michael Dean’s narration was amazing!!
