About this listen

Angel DeLucca is one of the most sought after gay bachelors in Virginia Beach. He's smart, successful, lethal, and more than anything he's drop dead gorgeous. When a one night hook-up goes terribly wrong, Angel comes into contact with the breathtaking Maximus "Max" Strong.

Max is a firefighter for the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Max is beautiful, charming, and also very straight. One meeting with the mysteriously sexy Angel DeLucca and a whiff of that silky, jet black hair, Max finds himself questioning everything he's known to be true about himself. Max tries desperately to understand the new feelings he has for another man and turns to his gay, older brother...Ryker.

Ryker has always been Max's protector and his guide their entire lives, which has left him feeling uncared for and alone to handle his own life's problems. Ryker craves to be taken care of, he craves the attention and praise of a Master. No one knows the dark desires within him until Angel's Chief of Security, Sebastian "Bass" Bagatelli, shatters that secret with their first intense encounter.

Contains mature themes.

Well🤔

Let me tell u .. at first I wasn’t a fan.. the instant love was not for me.. the characters was good but I didn’t like how they describe themselves, too much self love haha.. it was still a good book and A.E via is still one of my fav authors ever.. can’t wait for more work from her!

Great story!

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and really held my attention. I loved getting to see these two come together and figure things out. There is an instant connection between Max and Angel but Max isn't sure what to do with it at first. He has never been into another guy before Angel and it throws him for a loop for sure. I loved watching the way that Angel and Max interacted as they went down the path of exploring what they had. Once Max opened himself up to it they both knew that it was more than just casual or something passing by. They knew it would be something very significant. We also get a second story with Max's brother Ryker and Angel's chief of security, Bass. I loved getting both going on at the same time. The story was interesting and held my attention the entire time. I'm excited for the next book in the series.
The narrator did a good job with the story and personalities and accents for the characters.

I can tell this story is older

I also see (hear) an author growing and getting better in each subsequent book.
I enjoyed the premise, the characters, and the plot of this series. The writing isn’t as good as in later books, but excellent narration makes the most of what’s there.
This one is the roughest, but the series is worth a read/listen. These characters are different, and interesting, and worth getting to know.

I saw you standing alone

When I first saw the title I thought this was a shifter/wolf story. I was pleasantly surprised. Performance was great, Tim Paige did an amazing job. Especially with the sexy times. I can't decide who my favorite character is, they are all so great. But I think... maybe... I'd have to say Hawk. Fingers crossed there's more of him in book 2.

Loved it.

This is such a great book. Max and Angel are so awesome apart but together they are even better. This narrator does a good job of differentiating the characters and this author is on my must buy list.

this book seem that it was written by a woman. Men do not say those things.

Tim Paige brings an excellent story to life!

I already loved this book to begin with. After listening to the audio version I love it even more! Tim Paige has excellent diction, pacing and pronunciation. He handled the numerous voices admirably, given how many there were. He brought intensity to the passionate scenes and had me holding my breath through the culmination of the story. Bravo !
A.E.Via is on my autobuy list. What I like most about her stories is the way each character feels real and authentic. I love the variety of characters, life stories and emotions.
I love this series!
In this book, main characters Max and Angel imerse you in their love drawing you in to rejoice in their passion of finding The One.
This is a reread pleasure, over and over. Highly recommended!!!
