About this listen

They were right. The stronger our bonds grow; the closer evil gets.

I've fallen for a charming Fae, protective Warlock, and a tempting Demon, all with sculpted bodies made for sin.

Our bonds are only the beginning.

To break the curse that obstructs all magic, I'm meant to connect-heart, body, and soul-with a brooding vampire who refuses to accept our destiny.

The vampire's internal struggle leads him into a deadly snare, a trap meant to lure me.

Despite Phoenix's arrogance and our terrible first encounter, there's a deeper connection I can't deny. A craving neither of us can resist.

Saving him is the only option, but am I walking all of us into a fatal mistake?

Short but Entertaining

This second book in the series is short and doesn't have much meat to it but it's no less entertaining for all that, anyway. The first half of the book spent a significant portion on introducing all the guys to the mom and cousin of the fmc. The cousin asked very intrusive and immature questions under the guise of "girl talk" but I have NEVER had anyone ask me for the specifics of my sex life, no matter how close that friend thought she was and even if someone asked I certainly wouldn't answer in specific details. The entire conversation was weird and gave an ick vibe. I don't even understand the point of it or the point of having so much of the book taken up with that scene. Not unless the mom and cousin are going to get involved with taking out the bad guys but I don't see that happening as the cousin is pregnant. The voice actors do a great job for the most part. They're fabulous when they're delivering speaking parts (usually) but when they're narrating it tends to become stilted, almost stumbling over their words. It's a very odd way of speaking. I didn't like it. But if you can ignore that, the basics of the story is good and will keep you entertained.
