as always there was good character development. you understood the pack dynamic well. I love that her characters are always so real because they're broken in so many ways. They are also whole in other ways. It ends on quite the cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Did I binge listen to the audio for this book this morning?! YEP!!

I have this week off for Spring Break and I’m making it a goal to mood read to my heart’s content and if that means not listening at all, then so be it.

But along came this audiobook and I knew I’d have to listen ASAP—there’s just something so wildly addicting about Tessa Hale books! And Crescent Kingdom is no exception. ✨💜🐺🌙

Wren is on the run from a dark past when she finds herself in Crescent Creek, Colorado. In the few weeks since she has arrived she has carved out a somewhat safe existence for herself—until some locals return to town after a mission.

It’s clear to Wren that Kingston, Puck, Locke, Brix, and Ender are wolf shifters—all with their own dark pasts/histories. But it’s easier to keep everyone at a distance just in case she needs to run again.

And when dark mages suddenly attack one night no one can be sure of their motives—not with so many secrets swirling around.

I love that all of the characters have such distinct personalities (and their own narrator on the audio!) and POVs. This author excels at differentiating between the many MMCs in her why choose novels.

I was also a huge fan of how Wren was able to establish a genuine connection with each pack member. This book definitely focused on solidifying pack bonds and setting the tone on backstories! Yes, there’s some spice! But it served to enhance the growing intimacy of the connections the FMC feels for her MMCs.

As with all of her books, this one ends on a cliffhanger—and it definitely leaves you desperate for more! I can’t wait to read what happens next!

I was so thrilled to start Wren’s story! I’ve read every book in this universe, and the story was exactly what I was hoping for. We got instalove, reluctance, complete denial! Secrets, betrayal. The bonds are everything I was looking for. I’ve never been disappointed in a Tessa Hale book, and that trend continues! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Wren and her guys in book 2!

This story was awesome! And that cliffhanger!!! OMG I need more, and I cannot wait until book 2 is released! If you are not sure if you are a supernatural or shifter lover...then this is a great place to start for you. I have come to love shifter dynamics, and this solidified it even more for me! Vanessa Moyen always has excellent narration, but the whole cast for this story was fantastic. I read the book as well as listened to the audio and when I started this story I couldn't stop, I had to plow the whole way through, and I loved it so much that I have read/listened more than once.

I want more!!!

One can’t fault the story for holding tightly to the trope - but it does do this and there isn’t anything novel or truly unpredictable here. It’s just enough entertainment for the moment, but not something I’ll revisit for a second listen.

Baby, I’m howling for you! Hold onto to your clothes ladies - these wolf shifters will have you hot and bothered! I for one am on way to Crescent Creek to try and be part of the pack! This audiobook was absolutely delicious and addictive right from the start, I was immediately invested in Wren’s story of being on the run and how she had managed to stay hidden in the supernatural community. That is until fate had brought her to Crescent Creek and she met the wolves who call it home.

“She might not be our fated mate, but maybe, somehow, she was still destined to be ours.”

Wren’s wolf half had longed to the part of a pack, but she was reluctant to trust anyone and let her guard down after what she experienced within her dad’s corrupt pack dynamics. But Kingston, Puck, Ender, Brix and Locke were not what she was used to and they could sense that she was something special to them, even if she had been masking her scent. She wasn’t weak after all she had survived and I loved her strength and her take no bull attitude with all of them. I can’t wait to see where the next book goes after that cliffhanger! The narrators really brought each character to life and portrayed their demeanors to perfection. I am already taken with a few of them, you know I love a broody and reclusive hero! Men like these are definitely a reason to love why choose, you don’t have to worry about some triangle where you don’t get one of them.

This Wolf Shifter Romance was just what I needed!
