This audiobook is really a long prologue to this series and you will understand the books that follow much better by listening to it. Warning: it ends with a HUGE cliffhanger, so buy the next book right away or it will drive you crazy! The narration was excellent. I recommend this series as I've already listened to the first three of five books and they're dark but addictive.

I read this book two years ago, and fell in love with the story, the characters and the wonderful unique writing of Nashoda. This is the first time ever that I am hearing an audio book, and the experience is AWSOME!!!! The narrating was excellent by Mackenzie. The story was flowing and I fell in love with it all over again.
It is the best !! I LOVE it!! ❤️

Emily asks Sculpt to train her in self defense right after one of his illegal fights. He says no at first until Kats brother Matt comes towards them. They train for over a month before he admits that he had feelings for Emily.
He takes things slowly and Emily admits to him that it would be her first time. They fall hard for each other. Before she gets to hear his band sing something happens to her.
the book stops at a cliffhanger and you have to read the next book to find out what happens next.

Now that is how you begin a series. I can't wait to jump to book 2 to see how this all plays out. I thought the writing was good, the character development was great, plot was great, loved it all.

I don't feel this is an appropriate narrator for a 20 year old. Her voice sounds much older and it was hard to imagine what she would look like with this voice and being 20. But it's not enough to make me want to jump to book 1.

I think this is going to be a good series. The story was well written besides that there is a HUGE cliffhanger. The narrator was good...but I think someone else would have done better. It's the male voice that was kinda irritating. over all it was worth the credit...moving on to next book.
