A.E. Colonna is a game developer and designer, and the author of Code Gamers Development: Essentials. As a filmmaker, 2D and 3D animator, visual effects artist, and designer, Colonna has a rich and diverse background in media creation. Game development and design, however, is a skill he taught himself, and he credits his success to having learned this way, using every mistake to help him grow and master the skills he needed to create great video games. A self-confessed autodidact, Colonna is passionate about learning and prides himself on learning something new every day to further his professional work. This gives him a clear understanding of the capability of the human mind to take on new challenges, and he’s passionate about helping others develop the confidence and skills to pursue their own learning journeys, particularly in the creation of video games. Colonna originates from Caracas, Venezuela, and has been an avid gamer since childhood. He has a passion for creating worlds in video games and films, and this passion has fueled both his personal and professional life. He loves watching movies and TV shows, always seeking inspiration for new stories of his own, and is a huge fan of Star Wars.
