Devon G. Crowe was born in Portland, OR and moved around with his family, living in New York City, Yokohama Japan, Fresno, CA, Paris, France, Tucson, AZ, and Los Angeles CA primarily, with shorter visits to Hawaii, Wake Island, Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland, Russia, Washington, DC, Australia, and other places. He holds degrees in Astrophysics, Mathematics, Optical Sciences, and an MBA. He is the Principal Investigator for the NASA Kilometer Space Telescope study. He is a strong innovator who has been appointed at the full professor level in two of the nation's top five university academic programs, and he is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America and several other professional organizations. He holds patents and has written over 100 publications and books. His Erdos number is 4 and he has more than 1,000 Citations on Google Scholar. Devon has managed organizations up to 400 employees directly and been a member of the leadership team for up to 6,000 science and engineering employees. Art, Photography and music occupied a significant portion of his early years. He has branched out to become a novelist in more recent times. Family life as a father is a major priority in his life.
