Elle Connel is the pseudonym of Lucy Ribchester, author of historical crime novels The Hourglass Factory and The Amber Shadows. She is a recipient of a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award and a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship, and her short fiction has been shortlisted for the Manchester Fiction Prize and Costa Short Story Award. She lives in Edinburgh with her partner, two sons, and greyhound.
