Lyssa grew up in the suburbs of Manhattan, roaming the woods and reading books among the branches of an apple tree. She went to college in California, earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts, and moved to New York City where for six years, she worked on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center. She met her marvelous husband at a holiday party. A month after they wed, they moved to Hawaii for a brief adventure and sprouted roots. Lyssa bought a home-based advertising business, raised a daughter and a son, and after nearly thirty years in the islands, launched two thoughtful citizens of the world, both of whom continue to astonish and delight her. Since it’s never too late to be what you might have been, she returned to writing and discovered within herself an endless reserve of stories. She’s a member of PNWA, WFWA, GRW, and is co-host of the Facebook Live podcast Virgin Authors, which provides tips for new writers on everything from creating a sustainable writing habit to navigating the publishing world. Her fiction has won several contests and often includes an element of magic. Lyssa and her husband live in Honolulu with their four-legged love, Mele.
