In 1974 Mark Forstater produced Monty Python and the Holy Grail, in 1981 XTRO and in 2024 the Gen Z romcom Swipe Fever. He has produced 30 other films, TV dramas and documentaries, an album of Chinese music, 7 non-fiction books and audiobooks as well as 4 daughters and 3 Grandsons. His first book, The Spiritual Teachings Of Marcus Aurelius (2000), was so successful in hardback that his publishers asked for a series, and so The Spiritual Teachings of Seneca, The Spiritual Teachings of The Tao, The Spiritual Teachings of Yoga, and The Living Wisdom of Socrates all followed. He has also recorded a guided meditation for the financially stressed called The Age Of Anxiety, and published I Survived A Secret Nazi Extermination Camp. He started Dreambird Ltd with Nathan Neuman to make Swipe Fever and to build an online film production platform called Dreambird.Dreambird has in development a slate of films, musical theatre and songs, video games, a post Covid shopping and entertainment center, a drinks brand and consumer products. Mark was brought up in Philadelphia, and moved to England in 1964 to attend Manchester University. After returning to Philly to get his BA at Temple University, Mark returned to Manchester and has lived in the UK ever since. His latest book is The 7th Python.
