Michael Jones, PhD, is a clinical psychologist based in Texas, where he has maintained a private practice for more than 35 years. In addition to a lifelong interest in Buddhism, Dr. Jones has also studied martial arts. He is a Brazilian Jiujitsu black belt and continues to train regularly. He has also completed numerous marathons and ultramarathons. Understanding that therapy is very personal and everyone’s journey is different, Dr. Jones takes an eclectic approach to treatment. He applies lessons learned from his spiritual practice, his physical pursuits, and the care of hundreds of clients. Dr. Jones resides in the Houston suburb of League City, with his wife, Lesli, also a clinical psychologist, and their German Shepherd rescue dog, Gracie. He is a proud father to three adult children and a grandfather.
