Mikka Todachine pursued Botany and Apothecary in an Academic capacity and has been conducting research in Herbalism for the past five years. During this time, she has traveled around the United States to diverse tribes in different states, learning about their practices and comparing them to perfect her remedies. After her grandmother’s passing away, Mikka was determined to reconnect with her Navajo roots. This prompted her to delve deeper into indigenous medicine. The marvels of herbal remedies were witnessed first-hand as they helped her with fertility issues and depression. Through her books, she hopes to spread knowledge about Native American herbalism and advocate for holistic nutrition. The importance of natural medicine for overall well being is her main reason for becoming an author.
