Mother. Successful Life Coach. Author. Priscilla Posey has garnered plenty of experience in her life dealing with toxic relationships. Growing up, she struggled with emotionally immature parents and felt as though she was constantly walking on egg shells. As a result of stress and his job, Priscilla's father was very distant and the smallest of events could trigger his rage. Priscilla's mother was never quite happy in life so, so she imposed her dreams onto Priscilla. As she made friends and experienced the dynamics of other families, she realized her home life was far from normal. She felt as though she was the blame for her family's unhappiness. As a result, Priscilla retreated to herself. Priscilla decided to enroll in a college far from home to escape. The taste of freedom was intoxicating and she met the love of her life as a freshman. She became addicted to the attention he gave to her. As soon as they became married, Priscilla's husband grew distant and eventually told her that she's not good enough. Priscilla escaped one toxic relationship only to run head-on into a new one. This was when Priscilla's friend told her about Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Priscilla realized that rather than being the cause of the toxic environment-she was the victim. The more she learned about toxic relationships, the more she began to understand herself. After all, in all of her past relationships with friends, she would be submissive also. Priscilla truly believed the path to happiness was to please everyone else. At 35, Priscilla decided to turn her attention to relationship and personality disorders. She went back to school to become a life coach. She has devoted her life to helping others suffering from toxic relationships. By sharing her knowledge and experience, she has successfully helped others overcome low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, and emotional barriers that keep them from realizing their true potential. Now, she is a happy mother of two daughters who are both strong and independent. But, as satisfying as that is, this is not enough for Priscilla. She wants to help as many people as she can. She became an author on the topic of toxic relationships and female empowerment to help spread the word and to do just that.
