I'm a feminist philosopher, co-founder of the popular fitness blog Fit Is a Feminist Issue, and co-author, with Samantha Brennan, of Fit at Mid-Life: A Feminist Fitness Journey, coming out with Greystone Books on April 14, 2018. My most recent scholarly books are Moral Responsibility in Collective Contexts (Oxford, 2011) and Accountability for Collective Wrongdoing, co-edited with my colleague Richard Vernon (Cambridge, 2011). I write on diverse topics (including collective responsibility, feminist approaches to fitness, feminist critiques of diet culture and the global food economy, race, and veganism) for both academic and non-academic audiences. As a professor of philosophy at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, I teach courses in ethics and feminist ethics. I have also had the privilege of occasionally teaching "the Art of the Personal Essay" to students in the creative writing program. In my leisure time I run, do yoga, take photos with my Canon D6 mark ii, cook lots of delicious vegan foods, knit and crochet (vegan yarn!), travel, meditate, and spend lots of time with amazing people. I live in London, Ontario.
