Excellent Story of Faith
Reviewed: 04-09-24
Her characters are very real, diverse and create a very lively chemistry. Very much like real life and the way God works. Uniting diversity with His draw. I adored it and being a military nurse myself and also serving through a pandemic I felt she expressed that challenge well. I also felt she portrayed the south easterners with great respect which I also appreciate with my family being from that area and knowing the richness of their culture.

So uniquely inspiring. Struggles to learn from. Such adorably human characters. True to the spirit of Christ in the progression of the unfolding story. Blessings that follow surrender to his will. A delight.
Always love Sarah Sundin’s creations.

Can the perfect picture reveal the truth before it’s too late? Photographer Amelia Harris has had enough of her aunts' meddling matchmaking. So when The Photographic Times commissions her to spend the summer on Mobile Bay taking portraits of the elite and capturing nature for penny postcards, Amelia happily accepts. But this job is not as simple as it appears, and Amelia must defend against naysayers if she’s to ever gain respect in a man's world. And that doesn't leave any room for romance. Point Clear Resort General Manager Titus Overton never wanted the position he inherited when his...

Virtual has no voice difference with characters
Reviewed: 12-23-23
Very difficult to follow. Was hard to tell when different characters were talking. The voice all sounds the same. With a book you know when there is a different character talking because a paragraph change but with audible books you rely on the reader expressing different characters through their voice, manner of speaking and accents differentiations. The virtual reader has none of that making it very difficult to follow and far less interesting even silly because all the characters speak the same. Would have returned the book but did not buy with credits. Very disappointing. Did not finish the book but I think I would have liked it if a real person was reading it. Do not plan on listening to another virtual readers again.
Thanks for listening to my opinion.

In the city of Chicago in 1892, the rules for Victorian women are strict, their roles limited. But sisters Rebecca and Flora Hawes are not typical Victorian ladies. Their love of adventure and their desire to use their God-given talents has brought them to the Sinai Desert - and into a sandstorm. Accompanied by Soren Petersen, their somber young butler, and Kate Rafferty, a street urchin who is learning to be their ladies' maid, the two women are on a quest to find an important biblical manuscript.
