Story
Celebrity cooking show host Marni McGuire has seen it all. She’s been married—twice—and widowed and divorced. Now in her mid-fifties, she’s single. Happily so. She just needs to convince her pregnant daughter, Bella, of this fact. And maybe convince herself, too. Especially after Marni’s efforts to humor her determined daughter result in a series of disastrous dates that somehow prompt Marni to wonder if maybe the right man for her is still out there after all.

I started this anticipating that it would be just good as the Virgin River stories! Whoa! Was I disappointed. Uninteresting from the start. Didn’t care for Ms. Plummer’s tone. All of the women seemed to be whiny. Wasted my money.

Story
High-powered businesswoman Lana Rubicon has a lot to be proud of: her keen intelligence, impeccable taste, and the L.A. real estate empire she’s built. But when she finds herself trapped 300 miles north of the city, convalescing in a sleepy coastal town with her adult daughter Beth and teenage granddaughter Jack, Lana is stuck counting otters instead of square footage—and hoping that boredom won’t kill her before the cancer does.

Story
Forty-five-year-old Erin has grown restless with her life, which is odd because she’s spent the past twenty years roaming the globe. Between summers in Alaska and winters in the Florida keys, she’s climbed the steps of Machu Picchu, hiked long sections of the Great Wall of China, and kayaked down the Amazon. Lately, though, Erin has felt the urge to put down roots, strengthen her neglected relationship with her sister, Reggie, and reconnect with her two best friends, Michelle and Nina.

Boring
Reviewed: 10-25-23
I really wanted to like this series. The Reunion was the least enjoyable for me. Boring. Not much of a story. Too much detail about things that don’t add anything more to what’s happening. Love the narrator, Erin. She is why I kept listening.

Story
When Eliza Whitney loses both her beloved husband and her high-powered job in the same month, she’s uncertain what the next chapter of her life will look like. At 53, she’s too young to retire and too old to start over. Then her estranged father’s widow contacts her and asks her to come to Sanibel Island to help settle his affairs. Eliza sees the trip to a place called Shellseeker Beach as a distraction from her loss and maybe a way to get some closure on the difficult relationship she'd had with her father.

Not Interesting
Reviewed: 08-04-23
I really do not like this audible book. I loved Hope’s Coconut Key Series so I am severely disappointed in this. The story is dull and uninteresting. The characters are not interesting either. The worst thing about it is the narration! Why is she whispering like someone is constantly dying? Amy McFadden is so terrific in the Coconut Key Series! I will not even finish listening this incredibly dull performance! To continue to whine; I will say that I feel like I wasted a credit!

Interesting Story

This story was so good that I want more! So interesting and enjoyable. I didn’t enjoy the narration of the voice of Beck. All of the other characters were spot on for me but not hers. She sounded haughty to me and I would not have liked a person who spoke that way. Otherwise I really liked it. Tears at the end.
