Story
The Siege of Excelsis is over at last, and the survivors count the costs amidst the rubble of their city. Even for Galen and Doralia ven Denst, two of the most feared witch hunters in the Order of Azyr, the horrors they have witnessed are not so easily dismissed. Struggling with the traumas inflicted by the siege, Doralia's concerns only grow when her father disappears into the wilds of Ghur. As she sets off on his trail, Doralia begins to suspect that Galen is hunting down a dark secret from their past - one that might hold the key to a new threat rising to engulf Excelsis.

Story
There are those in the great expanse of the galaxy that seek profit wherever it is to be found: the deal makers, the opportunists and explorers – the Rogue Traders. Granted power by an ancient charter, sanctioned by the Emperor Himself, these scoundrels, entrepreneurs and adventurers roam the galaxy in search of fortune and glory. None perhaps are as hungry for these twin vices as Janus Draik.

Story
Lieutenant Xedro Farren is a Primaris Marine, stronger and more adept than even the Space Marines his brotherhood is sent to fight alongside. As the Dark Angels and the Primaris Marines fight a trauma-scarred force of T’au hellbent on destroying their former allies, the true quarry becomes clear - the shadowy instigator of a psychic curse that could plunge a string of Imperial planets into madness. As worlds burn in the fires of battle, an unthinkable pact is struck, with the Primaris Marines peeling back layer after layer of deceit to find the appalling truth.

Average Warhammer 40k story at best.
Reviewed: 04-20-21
The overall story was slightly convoluted and left a lot to be desired for how events pprogressed. Too much was ultimately thrown into this story between the Dark Angels, humans, and T'au. There were three separate stories roughly connected that not enough was given for either to develop the story as a whole. The T'au's presence was rather unnecessary despite being the most interesting part of the book. the story between twice blade and K'ais was the most interesting and the dialog the best written in this book. I would have preferred this be a separate story all together.
