Dead or Alive? Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually. Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me, and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers. Turns out, this Hell is being terrorized by an evil king, and he’s hell-bent on bringing all of Hell under his dominion. He also happens to control the portal back to our world, which I very much want to use.

Not as good as I thought I would be

Not a fan of dark books where everyone is against the MC including the MC. He hates his power and everyone is telling him to learn his powers but he just lets is run amuck until book 4 when he has to use it to confront the mv. There was no progression of self, no progression of the magic system.

I was hanging out with some buddies, doing a little caving, when everything went south. When I woke up, I was in some kind of medieval dungeon. Totally naked and in the dark. Luckily, I had a neighbor in a cell near me. One with a decidedly sexy feminine voice. When she explained to me that she was due to be executed and I was in line to be brainwashed, there was only one thing to do.

Another repetitive word count

I got about a third of the way through and could not go any further. How many times is the author going to have us listen the how he got to this world? How many times is the author going to describe the supporting characters?
The narration is pleasant. Which is the only reason I stuck it out as long as I did. If audible would allow me to return it I would.

Figured out the rules of this place before I got involved. But, when you see a woman running from slavers. Well, let's just say they got what they deserved. Only problem is that makes enemies—demigods with the power to bind the magically gifted women of Timeria to their will.

Not going to acquire anymore of this series. I liked the story premise. I liked the narrator. What I had a hard time with was how repetitively repetitive it was. If you enjoy a story where one character describes something, then the next character repeats the same almost word for word, then this book is for you. If you like basic story premise concepts described in one chapter then later in the same chapter (not even in subsequent chapters, but then again in later chapters also), then this book is for you. The story is good, most of the dialogue (except the repetition) is good, and the narration is varied and diverse.

Almost 1/4 the way into it and there is more stat page stuff than story line.
Some books are killed by the narrator, this is the reverse. I actually think I would like this narrator if the content was better.

I liked the concept and the first half of the book. Once he made his first two bindings and started to plan what to do next, it seems like that’s all they did. Oh and avoid any way to increase the intimacy of the binding.
I got this title on audible and returned it.
Andrea was awesome as always.
