Story
It started as a routine Miami to Charlotte flight for the passengers, crew, and Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason. But a freak storm over the Atlantic propels the airliner unexplainably back in time to the early 18th century. They find themselves on the sparsely populated coast of the Carolina Colony. Charles Town is the only English settlement of any size in the area. It's an inhospitable place of vast plantations, slavery, hostile natives, tall ships, and marauding pirates.

Story
Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Once again, we have returned to Gail Carriger's world full of vampires, werewolves, ghosts, & preternaturals. in this story, Alexia & her husband's daughter is a precocious and willful toddler such as the world has not seen in generations. he touch steals the supernatual abilities of any creature and transfers them to the child until either the sun rises or her mother is able to cancel outvthe effect by touching her.
Having heard of Prudence' existence, the world's oldest vampire has sent a request to come and meet her in Egypt, which also happens to be the spurce of the infamous Godbreaker Plague. It is not a request that can be ignored. in an effort to hife their real reasons for travelling with to Egypt with their families, alexia, her husband, and the characters we have become familiar with in the previous audiobooks all head to Egypt, leaving most of the werewolf pack home in London with Lord aakeldama.
Like the previous audiobooks in the series, the story is interesting and entertaining. it easily held my interest throughout the tale. The narrator once again did a wonderful job keeping the voices of the characters unique and distinct from each other. I enjpyed listening to it just as much as I have the previous books in the series, and given what happened at the end of this book, I am very much looking forward to seeing what will happen in the next book in the series.

Story
Lady Alexia Maccon, soulless, is at it again, only this time the trouble is not her fault. When a mad ghost threatens the queen, Alexia is on the case, following a trail that leads her deep into her husband's past. Top that off with a sister who has joined the suffragette movement (shocking!), Madame Lefoux's latest mechanical invention, and a plague of zombie porcupines and Alexia barely has time to remember she happens to be eight months pregnant. Can Alexia determine who is trying to kill Queen Victoria?

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. As with the other books in the series, the narrator did an excellent job with keeping each separate character voice unique and distinct from every other one in the story.
The issues that Alexia and her pack needed to face were well thought out & described byb he author in such a way as to maje the reader/listener remain engaged with the story and want to see how each of the issues would be resolved in the end.
i have been greatly enjoying this series and am very much looking forward to continuing on with it and seeing where the author will take us in the next book in this series.

Story
Quitting her husband's house and moving back in with her horrible family, Lady Maccon becomes the scandal of the London season. Queen Victoria dismisses her from the Shadow Council, and the only person who can explain anything, Lord Akeldama, unexpectedly leaves town. To top it all off, Alexia is attacked by homicidal mechanical ladybugs, indicating, as only ladybugs can, the fact that all of London's vampires are now very much interested in seeing Alexia quite thoroughly dead.

I greatly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. as with the previous two in the series, the narrator has done a fantastic job with keeping each of the characters' voices seperate and distinct, allowing the listener to simply sit back and enjoy the story without confusion or difficulty.
The story itself was well told & entertaining, with quite a few moments that made me either want to laugh at the actions taking place, or scold the characters for those same actions.
All in all, I foubd this to be avery enjoyable audiobook & look forward to listening tp the next one in the series.

Story
Alexia Maccon, the Lady Woolsey, awakens in the wee hours of the midafternoon to find her husband, who should be decently asleep like any normal werewolf, yelling at the top of his lungs. Then he disappears, leaving her to deal with a regiment of supernatural soldiers encamped on her doorstep, a plethora of exorcised ghosts, and an angry Queen Victoria.

This was another fine tale written by Ms. Carriger and performed excellently by her narrator. In this book, there appears to be a plague of forced humanity upon the supernatural set. Vampires and Werewolves are unable to transform and any ghosts caught within it's boundaries find themselved suddenly exorcised from existence.
it appears to be once again up to Alexia and her husband Lord Macon to find out why this is happening, if it is a weapon of some sort, and how to get things back to normal for everyone. It seems like a simple enough assignment, but of course nothing is ever simple.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. And while I did figure out a good deal of what was happening before it was revealed, I didn't find all the answers myself. Anyone who read (or listened to) the first book in this series should also enjoy this book. and the ending of this one promises a very entertaining sequel that I am very much looking forward to enjoying in tbe near future.

I enjoyed listening to this Audible Originals audiobook. the characters were origanal and each was uniquely voiced by the narrator. I had no trouble keeping the different characters seperate in my.mind as I listened to the story.
I also enjoyed the story told by the author . The charactors shone through clearly and the motivations behind their actions were clearly expressed in the tale as I read. There were plenty of entertaining surprises to be revealed as we learned more about the characters and the plot of the story.
if this author continues on with this series, I would be very interested in reading (or listening to) a sequel.

I've always enjoyed fairy tale retellings. This was a story in which I wasn't overly familiar with the original tale, but it was still a very enjoyable story to listen to. the narrator did a fantastic job of keeping each of the characters portrayed distinct from each other, so there was never any confusion as to who was supposed to be speaking at any given time. And the story held my interest throughout this audiobook. I do hope to listen or read more tales by Ms. Carleton in the future.

Story
Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette. Where to go from there? From bad to worse, apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire - and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.

I enjoyed listening to this book a great deal. The characters and their interactions were highly entertaining and often quite amusing. The performance by the narrator was excellent, allowing each of the characters to shine through in their own unique ways. I expect find myself enjoying more of this series in the near future, and would gladly recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal stories, though portions of it may not exactly be appropriate for younger listeners.

I found this to be an interesting audiobook to listen to. Meg and her daughter find themselves in a car crash, except that instead of waking and finding themselves in a damaged car, they found themselves far in the past in medieval Wales. Uncertain if they will be stuck in the past or might someday find a way to return, Meg and her daughter must learn to survive and thrive in Prince Llwellyn’s household.
How does one find wind up starting in a car crash in Pennsylvania only to wake up in a castle in Medieval Wales, surrounded by people who have always lived there? Meg has no idea if she and her daughter will ever find a way to return to where she came from. And then she finds herself falling in love with the medieval Prince of Wales.
I enjoyed listening to this story. The Narrator did a very good job (as far as I could tell since I don’t speak Welsh) with pronouncing the names of the characters from both time periods. It was not at all difficult to tell from her narration which character she happened to be portraying at the time.
All in all, I enjoyed the story as well as the narration and will be looking for the next book in the series, (This was a prequel to the series and made for a fun little introduction to a series I had not previously had the chance to enjoy.) I will look for the next book in the series to see where the story goes next, Though whether I will wind up reading it on my kindle or listening to the audio version remains to be determined.
