Story
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Never a dull moment! A FASCINATING mystery with twists and turns, made more interesting because it’s true! I’d never heard this before—and it’s so beautifully narrated and produced. Can’t recommend this highly enough. This was free but I’d pay for it!

I have read AND listened to every book in the series multiple times, so I’m biased. Huge fan. I’m completely in love with Bernie, and Chet’s view of the world positively soothes my soul. And keeps me howling. No one is better than Jim Frangione—he makes this series come to life. What a great combination—Quinn and Frangione. THANK YOU!!

He’s faced kidnappers, domestic terrorists, art thieves, among others, and had a hand in solving some of the most perplexing mysteries of the Twin Cities. But this time, his prodigious luck and intuition may have finally failed him: He was shot in the back by an unknown assailant and lies in a coma.

Love the involvement of Harry, the FBI guy and Scrader (sp)? the PI guy and Heavenly Petra!! Fascinating!

McKenzie avoids hitting the body, a bound woman who is just barely alive, but his stopped car in the middle of the road starts a chain of accidents, resulting in a 37-car pile-up. By the time the police arrive, and the EMTs and ambulances have taken care of the immediate injuries, the truck is long gone.
