Story
On a hot June morning in 1975, a fatal shoot-out took place between FBI agents and American Indians on a remote property near Wounded Knee, South Dakota, in which an Indian and two federal agents were killed. Eventually, four members of the American Indian Movement were indicted on murder charges in the deaths of the two agents. Behind this violent chain of events lie issues of great complexity and profound historical resonance, brilliantly explicated by Peter Matthiessen in this controversial book.

what atrocities our government continues to perpetuate
Reviewed: 12-13-24
this story horrified me. to this day this man remains imprisoned because our government refuses to admit they lied. the players in this lack of justice actually admit that they are okay with lying because they think they are right. this white misogynistic attitude continues because they will not admit that they stole this country from another culture. calling it for the greater good. there is no such thing. we would have been a better country if we had learned from our Indian brothers and sisters.

Whether you are seeing a doctor, a nutritionist, or a trainer, all of them advise eating more protein. Foods, drinks, and supplements are loaded with extra protein. Many people use protein for weight control while others believe it gives them more energy. Now, weight loss expert Dr. Garth Davis asks, "Is all this protein making us healthier?" I coul not finish this. the beginning talked of ikigai in western double speak and is relying on stats and historical psychology. it appears to me the authors are missing the point. the research should be about the history of ikigai and Okinawa. not about psychology but about a way of life.
