More intrigue and complexity and terror in this excellent sequel to Sons of Valor! Lots of cat and mouse, great immersive detail, and excellent character development with the Seal Team.
Another great installment to the series! A fresh set of problems to confront and overcome. The characters feel so genuine and believable, you want to keep walking alongside them thru everything!
The third book is absolutely amazing! And the fourth is set to release July 2025! I can't wait!

Good ole boys Seal Team adventure
Reviewed: 03-05-25
A great start to a series! I just finished the third installment and preordered the fourth set to release in July! It can't come soon enough. The storytelling is immersive, real world, complex, and compelling. Ray Porter, as always, is a fantastic narrator, bringing the characters to life!
If you have any passing interest in war stories, espionage, the battle between good and evil, and getting to enjoy banter with the boys - you'll love this series. The men and women of this series are relatable, have their own strengths and weaknesses, and keep you laughing or on the edge of your seat in turn.
Well worth your time!

Story
After a shootout in Dubai left Hamza al-Saud dead and elevated brilliant aeronautical engineer Qasim Nadar to hero status in England, everyone assumes the terrorist threat from al Qadar has been eliminated. Everyone except JSOC counterterrorism analyst Whitney Watts. But when she decides to help MI6 penetrate Nadar’s secret network, Watts gets a little too close to the truth and finds herself in a deadly situation not even her teammates from Tier One can save her from.

Masterful storytelling, by authors and narrator!
Reviewed: 03-05-25
I absolutely flew through these books. As soon as I finish one, my brain is pleading for the next.
I have to say, this one might be my favorite so far! These characters are so compelling and the story is so thoughtfully written and complex. That epilogue ending was brutal though; mature, real world, and brutal. And so perfect.
I'll have to wait until July to get the fourth installment, but it already pains me at the thought that it might not be the last book and there will be another amazing hook at the end once more. At which point, I will sigh with satisfaction at the impressive level of story writing these authors have, and the skillful narration of the best reader, Ray Porter. If it's not the final book, I'll simply have to listen to the series again when the next one comes out - oh no.
Keep up the great work, gentlemen, and thank you for such an amazing series!
For reference, this is Caleb’s wife (we share the audible account), as a woman who’s always loved war stories, these are some of the best I’ve come across. I will definitely be listening to more from this Trio!

Story
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Excellent little book about a security unit that's found sentience and having to deal with human interaction in its own way. I love the way you get to live in its brain as it goes thru the ordeals foisted upon the team of researchers. Looking forward to listening to the next novellas as well!

Story
Colin MacIntyre's life as a NASA astronaut might not have been exciting, but at least it was orderly. Unfortunately, he's been tapped for greater things, and he isn't too sure he likes it. First he was kidnapped by an ancient, self-aware starship masquerading as Earth's moon. Then he was drafted as its captain to suppress a 5,000-year-old mutiny. And then he had to mobilize the planet against the attack of an eons-old ancient menace dedicated to the eradication of all intelligent life in the galaxy! It's hard to blame him for feeling a little stressed....

Love this sequel! What a vast universe and history we get to explore and engage with; and such a fun new twist on technology and spacefaring. I love this reality Weber has crafted! We need more in the Dahak series, there's only one more after this currently, and it's just as intriguing! Enjoy!

Story
For Lt. Commander Colin Maclntyre, it began as a routine training flight over the moon. For Dahak, a self-aware Imperial battleship, it began millennia ago when that powerful artificial intelligence underwent a mutiny in the face of the enemy. The mutiny was never resolved - Dahak was forced to maroon not just the mutineers but the entire crew on prehistoric Earth.
