Story
Since the near-destruction of the Iron Hands, Raven Guard and Salamanders on Isstvan V, scattered warbands from these 'shattered Legions' have waged a guerrilla war on Horus' forces across the galaxy. Now, the crew of the Sisypheum are drawn into a covert assault on a hidden Alpha Legion outpost - an assault orchestrated by none other than the infamous warleader Shadrak Meduson himself. But what does Meduson really hope to make from such a bold move against the sons of Alpharius, arguably the undisputed masters of deception?

My jaw is on the floor. Absolutely S++ tier Foxhound on The Boss Extreme.
Cypher is perhaps one of Warhammer’s greatest mysteries and now he feels both more real and more mysterious at the same time.
This book is as good as Penitent, or the Night Lords trilogy, or Son of the Forest.
Can’t wait for another Cypher story.

Hydra Dominatus!
Reviewed: 12-02-24
This book reads like Le Carré wrote a novel set in a gothic nightmare city. Best Warhammer book I’ve ever read…and that’s over 100 novels and dozens of short stories.
I cannot express how good this book is. More intrigue than GoT and creepier than Lovecraft at times. The action is intense!
20 out of 5 stars.
More revelations than any other 40K book. And some of them are galaxy shattering in scale. Beyond jaw dropping, too bad the community is snoozing on this one. It answers, flat out, the one thing I have wanted to know for 25 years now.
Nothing moves the story forward like this series.
Absolutely amazing in every way.

Bobby G’s return was pretty rad, but this story is literally Arthurian sci-fi. It is as epic as it gets. Good emotional beats too. Cannot wait for more books about El Johnson!
