I just wanted to shake the daughter and say your not the only one!!!!
The mother OMG!!! Trust that you child can take the truth it is a big world out there.
Other than the two things, even when I was rolling my eyes at the relationship I still enjoyed the book. I finished it in 3 days.

Story
With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years before. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of people who disappear “down the rabbit hole” of the American penal system.

I thought that the show was closer to the truth. It is not. Very different with high light moments. The book is still very interesting. I am glad I listened to it.

This hasn’t been my favorite book. It was like it was the end without it being the end. There was just lots of talking and eating. Still good. I still enjoy the series.
