Story
Holland Beck – yes, after the country, and no, the story isn’t a good one – hates flying. On the brink of boarding a flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles, she panics. She can’t do it. Travelling triggers all the trauma of her past, the childhood memories she’s done her very best to forget. But thanks to cool, calm and collected Xander, Holland somehow manages to board the plane. Twelve hours and six thousand miles later, they touch down in LA and aren’t quite able to say goodbye. They make arrangements to meet at the end of Santa Monica Pier in three days time.

What a slowburn

I went in with little expectations but was hooked from the very beginning. The story has lots of heartache and not much to lough about, but the ending really surprised me and was worth to wait. Both characters where pretty sweet and the way they interacted.
The performance was good too, though in some places it was had to separate which character line it was.
Overall, I finished this book with a smile and happy I have listened to it.

Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Sweet love story

I realy liked the book as the story was interesting with plot twists and kept me constanlty on the edge.
Narators did a good job showing the emotions and their voices are pleasant and easy to listen.
Love story was sweet and had a nice build up, though, I did feel cheated there was no spicy scenes 😄 It might be just me missing that 😄 On the other hand, it is refreshing characters fell in love with each others personality and weren't horny all the time 😄

Story
Although my brother disappeared many cycles ago, I've never given up hope that he's alive. I get word about a human who has seen him, but she's evading me. When I finally come face to face with her, the situation becomes a whole lot more complicated, because I can't deny the pull toward the female with the smart mouth. She doesn't know it yet, but she'll be by my side as I rule over my people.

Decent story but annoying narration
Reviewed: 04-03-25
Story line was quite good and kept it interesting, but I feel I would have enjoyed it more with different narrators. Man narration of female lines were often squeaky while female narrating man lines always sounded as if he is angry. Really ruins all the romance when main character sounds pomapastic and angry all the time. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I would have read it instead.
