Story
I've always hated Christmas. With a name like Chris Kringle, it's hard not to. It's only gotten worse since I've been back from the war. Christmas is supposed to be jolly, but for me, it's a grim reminder of past failures. I need to get away from it. To be somewhere quiet. To heal. When I wake up in the South Pole after an accident to a Krampus tending my wounds, it feels like the perfect opportunity to get some much-needed R&R. Yet this gentle giant is so achingly sweet, I can't help but fall for him, even though he's a monster.

I was slightly apprehensive when I purchased the book. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this book. It was fast-paced and kept me engaged, and I finished it all in one go. I found Krampus to be a rather endearing character, resembling a large and gentle teddy bear. I also appreciated the portrayal of Chris and his post-traumatic stress disorder. I eagerly anticipate the next book in the series, as this was an excellent start.

Story
This week hasn’t gone the best for me unless you count Casimir, the sexy ancient vampire, bringing me back from the brink of death (and tying my fate to his in the process). Not that it matters if the werewolves and vampires don’t stop their ridiculous feud, because someone is targeting them and widening the divide between our communities with each body they leave in their wake. But as the alpha’s son, I have a plan to fix everything. I’m going to convince Casimir to fake date me to show the others that we can work together. I mean… what could go wrong?

I love Alice Winters books but I feel like all of her main characters are the exact same. Literally all her books are the exact same formula in different settings. It work because the characters are hilarious and likeable but I wish there was more variety.

Story
I used to think vampires were the stuff of fiction. Now my brother has a baby with fangs and there's bottles of blood in our fridge, so obviously, I was wrong about that. It's not the only thing I was wrong about, either. I'm a nerd, I'm supposed to be smart, but honestly? I'm starting to realize I can be pretty darn clueless. For one, I never realized that my best friend was in love with me. Not until after he died in a vampire attack. To protect me. His death shattered my whole world. Seeing him again is like a miracle. Even if he has fangs now.

I don't know I felt myself getting a little bored. I liked both of the main characters, it's just I felt like the book kind of went nowhere and I'm very surprised this wasn't an mpreg book...weird.

Story
Fake boyfriends for a week? Yes, please. Carter Olson never expected he’d get a chance to date his older brother’s best friend, Rip Taylor. Wished for it? Yes. Fantasized about it? Possibly too much. But ever thought it would actually happen? Not in a million years, since Rip is straight. But even if it’s just to try and win a gay game show, having Rip for a boyfriend - even a temporary/pretend one - is still the best thing to happen to Carter in...well, ever.

the jest of this book was pretty good but the overall story was cringe-worthy. the entire thing was cheesy and super underdeveloped. all the screaming from the audience and how nobody would just ask the other person how they felt was driving me up the wall.

Story
At 40, Vincent “Vinnie” Fierro is still afraid to admit he might be gay - even to himself. Vinnie attempts some self-exploration in Chicago’s Boystown bars, far from anyone who knows him. Naturally, he runs smack into someone from the neighborhood. Trey Giles has little time for fun, let alone dating someone who swears he’s straight. Yet after one night of dancing cheek-to-cheek, Trey agrees to let Vinnie court him and see if he truly belongs on this side of the fence. It seems like a solid plan, but nothing is simple when family is involved.
