Story
Tory Bodeen grew up in a run-down house where her father ruled with an iron fist and a leather belt - and where her dreams and talents had no room to flourish. Her one escape was her neighbor Hope, who lived in the big house just a short skip away, and whose friendship allowed Tory to be something she wasn’t allowed to be at home: a child. Then Hope was brutally murdered, and everything fell apart.

Good story, not happy with Dean's performance

I always like Nora Roberts and the story was interesting and a little fun. However I couldn't tell one voice from another...all characters sounded the same.

Built To Last, the defining management study of the 90s, showed how great companies triumph over time and how long-term sustained performance can be engineered into the DNA of an enterprise from the very beginning. But what about companies that are not born with great DNA? How can good companies, mediocre companies, even bad companies achieve enduring greatness?

I enjoyed the stories behind all the work behind the analysis. There was a lot of reference to the details that could have been reduced...but really enjoyed hearing about the leadership qualities.

Story
London, 1944. Two young nurses meet at a train station with a common purpose: to join the war effort. Scarlet longs for the chance to find her missing fiancé, Thomas, and to prove to her family - and to herself - that she's stronger than everybody thinks. Nursing is in Ellie's blood, but her humble background is vastly different from Scarlet's privileged upbringing. Though Ellie puts on a brave face, she's just as nervous as Scarlet about what awaits them in France.

I enjoyed the story itself. I liked the story from the nurses' perspective; however, I will admit I wasn't a fan of the person speaking in the audio portion. Too monotone for my taste.
