Story
Penelope is curvy, sassy, and my brother's fiancée's best friend. Totally forbidden fruit. But when she asks for dating lessons, I'm suddenly fumbling like a rookie. I thought love was supposed to hit like a linebacker—fast and hard. Instead, it's a slow burn that's got me breaking all my own rules.

Not my favorite
Reviewed: 12-12-24
I love this series and the messages about body positivity, but this book was a bit much for me this time. We all have insecurities, some more than others, but I felt like that was the only plot point for Penelope. (Like she was missing character development outside of being insecure) I did like that this story was simultaneous with Hayes & Willa’s storyline so it felt like we got behind the scenes info. Overall, it’s a sweet story and another HEA ending but it was a bit cringy for me this go around. The next one sounds exciting though. The voice actors were great, per usual.

ADHD Warriors Unite!

As someone who has lived with undiagnosed ADHD until I was an adult, this book makes me feel seen. I identify with both characters (Henry being his own biggest obstacle and Halle’s need to people please) and the character development was amazing. Henry has been my favorite character since Stasi’s book and it’s been worth the wait. I have no cons :)

Cute, but long story

This story was very cute and I liked the story overall. However, it was a bit long. Almost could have been 2 books. But I still enjoyed it.

Story
It’s my final season to prove myself before the MLB Draft. The last thing I need is a distraction–and especially not one as tantalizing as Mia di Angelo. She’s the drop-dead gorgeous astrophysicist-in-training who ditched me the moment I wanted to take us from casual to committed. Yeah. Ouch. But when she needs somewhere to stay for the summer… well. I offer her my place. Being roommates shouldn’t be so hard. Not distracting at all. Not the least bit challenging.

Unlikeable Lead
Reviewed: 08-06-24
I enjoyed the first 2 books in this series, but this last book was hard to get through. Mia was insufferable from start to finish. I liked Seb’s storyline, but it was overshadowed because Mia was so awful. She was her own biggest enemy/obstacle and I’m not sure how many people would deal with so much self sabotage in real life.

Story
Football is my everything. I live, eat, breathe the sport. But when I transfer to McKee University to escape the distractions that nearly cost me my future in the NFL, I’m faced with another consequence: retake and pass the writing class I failed at my last college, or lose any chance I have at making it big. That’s where fellow senior Beckett Wood—gorgeous, stubborn, and just my type—comes in. She’s the key to my success in this class… but the price of her help is a fake relationship, and I never do things halfway.

Cute for casual football fans
Reviewed: 06-12-24
This was a cute story overall. However, despite the author’s note stating that there would be some inaccuracies about football, it was still hard to believe some of the plot. I can’t say much without spoiling, but you’ll understand when you get there.
The narration was okay, but the female narrator sounded like she had an awful cold the entire time and I wanted to give her a cough drop.
