I love the honor that is portrayed by the main characters. They often have some personal issues to work through and each book works through those nicely, whether fear, or pride, or whatever else each princess faces, and their prince as well.

Story
In one of his most enlightening works, C. S. Lewis shares his ruminations on both the form and the meaning of selected psalms. In the introduction he explains, "I write for the unlearned about things in which I am unlearned myself." Consequently, he takes on a tone of thoughtful collegiality as he writes on one of the Bible's most elusive books.

book took a dive from usual quality
Reviewed: 12-17-23
Sadly this book to a real dive from the quality of the previous books in the series. There was a whole story line outside of time that eventually didn't even matter because it never happened. There was unnecessary added sexuality, that also had no purpose as it also eventually never happened. The previous books were quite grand and rather clean, where as this one really just didn't fit the bill. I was rather disappointed, as this has been a favorite series for me in the past, and something that I could even allow my children to read, but the disregard for decency in this book means that it is no longer a series that I can recommend to younger folks.

Best ending I've ever read
Reviewed: 10-11-23
Aside from the cussin', which had me turning the volume down anytime my kids came into the room, the story was fantastic. Written seemingly effortlessly, all of the story lines flow well. Slow at the very beginning, but well worth it. Many books end up with an ending that leaves you disappointed, this one won't.

good read, bit slow and short
Reviewed: 11-24-22
Good appetizer. Was wondering how they were going to get anywhere with so little time and so slow a pace. Well they didn't really. Reached a short destination with no conclusion. Definitely a cliff hanger ending, would require reading more for it to flow.
