Kayla is a very talented actress who finally has a job on a very popular soap, and to top it off, she gets to work with the best, not to mention hottest, actor on the show (whom I might add she has had a crush on since hight school). When Sean starts working with Kayla, their chemistry not only shows on the screen...but off it as well! Despite their past relationships with other actors...they decide to give in to their desires. Just when things are going well...Kayla starts getting threatening letters from a stalker determined to make her disappear.

I liked this one...I really liked all of the characters and the chemistry between Kayla, and I liked the different challenges they faced as a couple as well. The storyline with the stalker seemed a bit predictable, but it wasn't too over the top. I love the narrator's voice thought she did great with Kayla! This is the first Alison Packard book I've listened to, and would love to read more from her! I could see some of the other story lines mentioned in this book continue to other books...and hope that maybe she will someday! ;)

Eva meets Gideon by chance at her new job, and everything changes for her. Gideon isn't one for complicated relationships, however he is willing to change his rules for Eva. Their attraction is very strong, and they can't deny it, but it doesn't prove to be as easy as they would like to think. Just as thing get more intense...Eva realizes that like her Gideon has a dark past, but unlike her he isn't willing to share and is instead driving a wedge between them.

Again, another book I really wanted to like, but I felt like Eva and Gideon's relationship was completely about sex. Every time they had a fight or were disagreeing on how things were going in their "relationship" the resolution would be to have sex. It was as if it solved everything and yet it didn't solve anything!

I'm really torn to continue the series, because it left you hanging with some unanswered questions...but at the same time I'm just not sure it will get any better. I do love Jill Redfield as a narrator, and I think she did an another amazing job in this book...makes me want to like it even more. But overall..Bared to You left me wanting there to be more to Eva and Gideon's relationship...to me it was just bare! :(

Ever since she was 10 years old, Kaylin, has had strange marks/symbols on her skin...ones of which she doesn't know the meaning of. Now she is faced with a repeat of the past as children are being murdered in her old neighborhood just like they did when she got her marks. Determined to prevent innocent children from dying and stop the person behind them, she is forced to face her past as unanswered questions begin to reveal themselves and also revealing that there is a bigger plan at work...one she is the center of.

I really wanted to like this book, and it came pretty close to three stars for me...However it was also very confusing and often hard to follow. I felt like I was missing a big part of the many deep conversations that occurred. Also, the society and it's rules were...although interesting...also made me feel lost.

The narration by Kristine Hvam was really good however, and is probably what gave it the story more potential for me. I did like the characters, and the overall story was good...but I wish there was more! I still haven't decided if I will continue this series...I'm just nervous that it will leave me feeling the same.

Things are finally starting to look up for Rydstrom Woede and his captured kingdom. When the opportunity finally arrises for him to reclaim his throne once again, fate seems to have a different plan in store.

Sabine, the Sorceress of Illusions, on the other hand, has been trapped for so long by her evil brother, Omort, doing his bidding, but she may finally have a way out. First, however, she must capture her fated mate and seduce him, which is not as easy as it seems.

Between the two of them, they both seem to be trying to get something out of a rather intense situation, but whether they get what they were looking or what they think they were looking for is a completely different story! They may have gone into this as one person...but they won't come out of it the same!!

Yet another roller coaster of a story!! And just when you think you cannot be surprised more...Kresley Cole once again contradicts the fact that people can't change who they are.

For once he wants to prove them all wrong, and in order to make things right he must give up what he has looked for his entire life and has finally found...his mate. Cadeon has been a consistant disappointment to his brother as well as to his people, and no one thinks he can do this. At the same time however, neither does he.

Holly, who has recently changed into her true valkarye self, is thrown into a world of chaos as she runs for her life with the help of Cadeon, from daemons and vampires who are trying to kill her to stop a prophecy that she is the center of.

While they both try really hard to keep their distance from each other...despite the 24hour contact. They can't, however, deny the obvious chemistry.

During the entire book...you are constantly wondering what Cadeon is going to do, and well I was really surprised!! But considering it is Kresley Cole...need I say more!?!? :)

This was another great book in the series...now it is on the next!!

Having lost The High Tournament, Bowen is left where he began...with his mate long dead and yet another failed attempt to bring her back and this time with a terrible curse that is slowly killing him. Now, in an effort to release his curse and avoid a war between the witches and the lykae, he seeks to rescue the witch who he originally trapped and who cursed him to begin with.

While Mariketa has no reason to help Bowen considering everything he has put her through, she finds herself oddly drawn to him and begins to possibly believe his claim that maybe she could indeed be his mate...maybe.

As they make their way to freedom from the jungle...there is a bigger and darker evil at play. And just when it seems that things are going well between them...Bowen finally gets what he has spent nearly his whole life searching for and it changes everything!!

This is one of my favorites in the series thus far!! I really loved seeing the relationship between Bowen and Mari develop. From the moment Bowen rescues her from the cave, the tension and banter between them is so fun listen to...knowing it is only a matter of time. :) Kresley Cole does it again...and I can't wait to get through the rest of these!

Just when you think all hope is lost for Conrad, who has become mad during his years as a vampire and is being held against his will by his brothers in the hopes of improving...Conrad starts to see ghosts, but not just any ghost...

Enter Neomi, who was horribly murdered many many years ago, and is forced to live with it everyday of her ghostly and very lonely life while she watches the lives of the living around her...that is until Conrad, the first human, or vampire that is, sees her.

As they keep each other company in the house they are both trapped in, they are given a second chance with each other...or do they?...

Again, Kresley Cole has such a way of bringing opposites, or not so opposites it may seem, :) together and throws in a few twists that will have your mind spinning! While, this wasn't my favorite, I still really enjoyed it and got a new appreciation for Conrad, who really seemed like a lost cause. Maybe it is possible that people, or vampires, can change after all. ;)

This second book focuses on Dante, Beta of the Phoenix pack, and Jamie, a newer member but an old friend. While Dante and Jamie have known each other since they were kids, a lot has changed since they have seen each other, including their attraction to each other. While they help each other with each other's past, including Jamie with her struggle to keep her agressive wolf side at bay, thing between them progress more and more. And well...I'm sure you see where things start going. ;)

I was so excited for this second book in this series, and neither Suzanne Wright nor Jill Redfield, the narrator, disappointed!! I thought this book was just as good if not better, and I can tell that Wright is going deeper into her characters, and I'm really loving it!! She also did a really good job I thought of setting things up for the books yet to come, and I am very anxious for them! Things were left bitter sweet in this one, and I am excited to see where things will continue from here!

This second book was better than the last! Cole seems to have such a way to write characters in such a way that make them seem like nothing could possible work between them, and then she surprises you over and over again. She certainly did that in No Rest for the Wicked as a valkyrie, Kaderin, meets her match in a vampire, Sebastian, and sworn enemy.

Kaderin has every reason to hate vampires considering one killed her sisters years ago...now she hunts them and saves a fang for everyone she kills. Sebastian, on the other hand, was forced into becoming a vampire by his brother, and has lived with it, hating every minute for the past three hundred years, but he wishes to no longer.

The day he meets Kaderin everything changes... he is brought back to life, and for the first time Kaderin is unable to kill a vampire. As Kaderin enters the High, a month-long competition promising a reward that can bring back her sisters, after meeting Sebastian, he ends up following her through it while trying to win her over. Just when you think things are possible...the game changes again.

This book has it all...suspense, action, intensity, death, and life...not to mention more great characters and great lines!! I am loving these books, and I can't stop reading/listening to them. Robert Petkoff is great, and all I can do is keep going... :)

This was a great start to a new series...well I realize it isn't new, but for me it is. :)

A friend told me about this series, and I'm glad I listened! Although I am currently on book five in this series, I can honestly say that they continue to get better and better!! This first one, while it isn't my favorite, it is a great start as Kresley Cole introduces the Lore (world of supernatural and immortal beings). There is a lot to take in, but it is done very well making it easy to follow.

Hunger Like No Other focuses on Lachlain MacRieve, a Lykae (aka werewolf) King, who escapes from vampire torture to find his mate. Once he finds her, Emmaline, he discovers that she is half vampire...an enemy to werewolves. Emmaline, who is actually the last female vampire, has been pretty sheltered all her life after her parents died. While she is finally seeking the answers to her past, she meets MacRieve, and is taken on a ride that will change everything. As they travel across the country, her acting as his guide, to his home in Scotland...there is a lot of tension, prejudice, and...well...let me just say things get interesting. ;)

I am loving this new Lore world, and the characters are amazing...and so many good lines!! Robert Petkoff, the narrator, is really great!! At first his some of his impressions seemed weak, but he grows on you and gets better over time and does a fantastic job!! I'm in for a long ride as I continue this series. So excited!!
