Just finished this thrilling listen! This story is about sorority sisters that decided to keep a secret oath between them. Who hasn't ever had a secret? But some secrets should of never been kept. If you are fond of suspenseful thrillers like I am this listen will keep you up all night on the edge of your seat. When I looked at some of the less favorable reviews on this listen I am glad I disregarded them. I found the narrator Jorjeana Marie voice was creative in making the characters come to life and her voice drew you in. I will be trying both the author and narrator again soon.

Loved the book and will be planning to listen more of the series! I love a great whodunit especially if the narrator is as good as Eliza Floss the words and the voice came off as smooth as molasses. The character development was not long and boring like some audio books which made it extra enjoyable. The book made you feel just when you figured out whodunit it wasn't who you thought it would be. Great listen but I also enjoy Alisson Brennan books and series.

I am sure "The Walking Dead" series came to most peoples mind.

I love it when I get a taste of a book especially just a sample of one like "The Hospital" makes me more inclined to spend my credits or buy it. The narrator R. C. Bray set the tone for the book he keep me mesmerized to the storyline. I like the fact that that the main character of the book is not no super hero but just an ordinary man without any training in weapons or combat just a "plain Joe" that everyone can relate so far. I will get the next in the series after enjoying this sample.

Story
A madman is stalking women in the city. By the time his victims are found, they've been dismembered with careful precision, their limbs stacked into a gruesome pyramid and completely cleansed of every last drop of blood. Accustomed to working on the most grisly homicides, detective Frank Quinn's nerves don't rattle easily. But when the last names of the killer's victims spell out "Q-u-i-n-n", the veteran cop feels a chill run down his spine.

John Lutz first book in the series had me on the edge of my seat! I love Frank Quinn series but this one lacked for a better word an imaginative ending. The thought of a madman dismembering his victims would send chills down anyone spine. I did rate the book overall a good score because of the thought and detail that went into the storyline but for me personally the ending was kind of what I expected with a feeling of unfinished storyline on the killers side. The audio is "graphic" just to inform those who may not like that type of book like I do. I will be purchasing the next in the series this book didn't disappoint just unfinished to me.

I used to work for the Telepath’s Guild before they kicked me out for a drug habit that wasn’t entirely my fault. Now I work for the cops, helping Homicide Detective Isabella Cherabino put killers behind bars. My ability to get inside the twisted minds of suspects makes me the best interrogator in the department. But the normals keep me on a short leash. When the Tech Wars ripped the world apart, the Guild stepped up to save it. But they had to get scary to do it - real scary.

TELEPATHICTASTIC!
Reviewed: 02-06-14
Which character – as performed by Daniel May – was your favorite?
The best performance was Polsin the main characters commanding officer which was done perfect for her character. I was amazed with the way Daniel May voice was so smooth with out hesitation and seamless between characters in the book
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The addiction and flaws of the main character touched me as we are all flawed in one way or another it made me relate to my own flaws in my past. The self-isolation and conflicted feelings about his drug habit and how those around him in his work place viewed him.
Any additional comments?
The story line is unique and Scifi with telepathic investigators with serial killings. I am going to continue on with the series.

Listening to Deadlocked 1 actually put you there with the main character! Brian Sutherland detailed description of the characters made you aware of there weaknesses and strengths. This audio is a bit graphic. For the people that don't like graphic audios this may not be for you. But in saying this what Zombie book would not have graphic details? None that I would care to listen to but that is my personal listening style.

I would highly recommend this book as a listen if you love suspense or horror. The book is very graphic and I would not recommend it to the weak.
