Story
When Jackson St. James decided that six weeks in Vermont's Green Mountains would help him get his life together, he didn't anticipate replacing his craving for whiskey with a craving for his alluring new landlord, Gabby. Now, instead of prioritizing his sobriety and the resolution of the lawsuit threatening his business, he's making excuses to spend time with the spunky young landscaper whose candor is more than a little addictive.

A TRUE ROMANCE
Reviewed: 03-16-19
This book is full of love and twists. With Jackson getting away from the city and his family so that he can relieve the pressure he's been under for such a long time you don't expect him to find a place outside of his life to be so comfortable.
He finds a small town and a great doctor to help him heal from his past. Finding a woman on the side of the road with car trouble is just a start to him finding a young woman who is wise beyond her years. She helps him get through a lot of his problems while she shares hers with him.
Having Jackson to help her when her father has a stroke is only the beginning. She has a young son named Luke, whose father is a pain of a cop that tries bullying her on a regular basis.
When Jackson makes his mind up all bets are off and he changes the way his family has always expected him to be.

The story of Hank and Catalinia maybe sad in some ways it is truthful and shows that sometimes life can be unforgiving but with the right person you can still be excited and happy with life.
After having to intervene where Jackson is concerned the family becomes stronger still and they learn of the past that has bothered him the last several months. Jackson is a driving force in Cat's life and the brother she turns ro.
After turning Hank away and still not talking with him the last time they were together Cat must find a way to get to talk with Hank again and make it right between them, she doesn't like hurting people, so she finds a way to bring them together again and change his mind about her.

Story
Thirteen years ago, Vivi LeBrun was sketching a rooster and eating Oreos when she first met - and fell for - her friend's brother, David St. James. Since then, her love for David has only intensified thanks to years of friendship with his family, who rescued her from a lonely, tumultuous childhood. The story of Vivo and her best friend Cat covers some very adult ideas while the story between Vivi and David is simply fantastic.
You see how Vivi struggles with letting go and growing up into her own person. She falters but she's sure she can get past a childhood crush and go on with her life.
She has a lot of help from everyone around her. She finds things to do on her own and she's happy about the changes.
Then Cat's boyfriend does just what Vivo has been afraid of.
This book has lots of twists and is intelligently written. Vivi is fun loving, upbeat, and adorable.

This is only the third book I've read of Jamie's and I truly loved it. The story of a young woman who has always lived by her mothers rules finding her own way in life was fantastic.
I have several girl cousins that were brought up in this type of situtation and the story could have been any one of theirs.
It's true to life and captivating good. I loved both Wyatt and Emma.
